Chapter 12: SeeSaw

"Hey!", Jinyoung said as he saw Zoey sitting on the couch in the common area with her laptop.

"Is it 1 already?", she checked time on her watch.

"It is and you're a workaholic. Take a break."

"Come let's go inside and chat", she said closing her laptop and going in her cabin.

"Have a seat", she said and he sat down on the couch.

She sat next to him .

"So as you know that Harvey and I didn't end up on good terms"

"Wait. You terminated your contract with him?", his eyes widened.

"I did", she nodded.

"So easily?"

"It wasn't easy but I have my ways", she said.

"Ah! The powerful Lee family", he said smiling.

"You don't want to know. Anyway, I need an architect for this project. Someone I can rely on and you're the only person I can trust with this project."

"So you want me to work for you?"

"Not for me, but with me"

"What do I get out of this?"

"Getting on the A-list profile of architects and big bucks. Maybe even nominated for a national award if we get it right"

"Interesting"

"And its going to a be 50-50 partnership."

"Sounds good", he leaned forward checking out the blueprints of the site.

"So you think you can be on board with us?", Zoey looked at him expectantly waiting for a response.

"Yes Zoe. I'll be happy to be on board", he smiled looking at her and she sighed in relief.

"Oh thank you!", she sank in the couch making him laugh a little.

"So when do we start?"

"We start tomorrow! Now let's order in some food"

Zoey reached home early and saw Bambam and Yugyeom there playing with Ghost in the living room.

"Hi guys!", she said placing her bag and keys on the console.

"Zoey! What's up?", Yugyeom said waving his arm at her.

"To what do I owe the pleasure?", she asked sitting on the couch patting Ghost who sat on her lap.

"Hey that's unfair Ghost!", Yugyeom whined.

"And you're back from Thailand Bambam!", Zoey said taking the glass of water from Tessa who bought it for her, "thanks Tessa!"

"I am back! Just in time for the gala!"

"So what do we do for the gala?"

"I wanted to keep it a surprise but I am actually planning a secret video event"

"That's a good thought Zoe", Bam said, "Can I take a look at it?"

"As soon as Youngjae sends it to me, I'll show it to you as well"

"Who's Youngjae?"

"He's interviewing the whole family. A magazine cover or something", she said putting down the glass on the table.
