Chapter 21: Fade Away

Zoey was laying on the couch covered in blanket with boxes of tissues by her side watching mindhunters as she laid there down with flu.

"Hey Nors", she said in a nasally voice.

"Are you back? Are you sick?"

"Yeah I'm down with flu. Cold and fever."

"Oh. How did that happen?"

"I don't know. Its probably the changing season.", she said blowing her nose.

"Oh, I forgot about your allergies with the changing season. What are you doing?"

"I'm watching mindhunters as I'm unable to work and blowing my nose every other second" , she sneezed.

"Jesus! you sound worse. I think you should rest the whole day today and drink hot soup. I would've come but I have a lot of work at office today-"

"I hope you have a great day Nora! Don't worry about me I'll be fine. Stop annoying me. Bye!"

"What the hell? Did she just hang up on me?", Nora looked at her phone and scoffed. She kept her phone aside and went back to working.

"Thanks for the soup Tessa", Zoey said sitting up on the couch as she drank the soup.

"You will be just fine after my soup. It works very quick", she said and smiled at Zoey.

"This tastes like hell", she whined after Tessa left, "but I'm gonna drink it anyway, right Ghost?", she said looking at him who just sat next to her couch.

Another hour passed and Zoey was still in the couch binging  Mindhunters and blowing her nose.

The doorbell rang.

"Who could it possibly be at this time?", she looked at clock it was 4 pm.

"Tessa? Who is it?"

"Its me", Jinyoung said standing over her behind the couch, "Hi babe", he said smiling at her and leaned down to kiss her.

"Wait, aren't you supposed to be at work?", she stopped him from kissing her and he huffed annoyed.

"Its been a week! Work can wait for a while", he said smiling, "Are you seriously watching Mindhunters?", she narrowed her eyes at him.

"Mr. Park would you like anything to eat?"

"I'm good Tessa. Thanks. Can you take Ghost out for walk please?", he asked smiling.

"I was about to do that. Come Ghost! Its walk time", she said and ghost ran to her all excited.

"Bye!", Zoey said after them.

"Now, where were we?", he sheepishly looked at her and climbed on top of her.

"I was watching mindhunters and you showed up out of nowhere."

"I came to see my girlfriend who's apparently down with allergies", he tried to kiss her again but she stopped him again.

"I am sick", she said softly.

"So?"

"I don't want you to get sick too."

"Oh whatever", he laid at back of the sofa and hugged her from behind, "now let's get back to watching this twisted-murder-mysetry series", he said kissing the side of her head.

"Its based on true events"

"If you say so"

He pulled her closer to him and intertwined their hands.
