"I can't believe that I am seeing you students in my office for such mischief." The principal shook his head in disbelief.
All the eight heads looked down as the principal scolded them.
"Aayush, you are one of our top students in academics. Rohit, Mayank and Abhishek, you three represent our college for cricket at national level. Khushi, your brother was an alumnus from our college itself right?" The principal stood in front of each student and said.
He continued. "And Abhishek how could you get alcohol in the college premises?"
Abhi at first glared at the principal. He did not like his full name being called out. "Sir, there were soft drinks too. Alcohol was mainly just beer and vodka." Abhi tried to reason with the principal.
The principal heard a chortle.
"You think this is funny?" He glared furiously at everyone."Sorry sir." Abhi looked at his feet again.
"But it's all their fault." Omkar pointed towards Mayank and Khushi.
"That's because you guys started it." Aayush shouted from behind.
"We did not."
"Yes, you did. Naren saw you climbing down from Mayank's balcony."
"So Omkar, it was you who wrote those filthy words in the wall?... Our college is a reputed one. What will someone say when he sees it from outside?" The principal questioned.
Omkar just held his head down in shame. But the principal could see no remorse in his eyes.
"Mr Omkar Bhatt. Don't think you can get out of this just because your father is a trustee. I am sure he will more interested to punish you for your antics rather than save you."
"Sorry sir."
"Now you will repaint the balcony walls of that entire floor."
"What?" Omkar shouted. "But that's..."
"You want me to increase the number of floors?"
Omkar immediately shook his head. "I'll do it sir."
"Khushi." The principal looked at her. "You too will join him."
"But sir. Why me?"
"It's either that or giving fire alarm instructions in every class? Because you were the one to set off the fire alarm right?"
Khushi nodded and lowered her gaze in shame. "I'll do the paint work sir... I'm sorry sir."
"Now Abhishek and Mayank, one of you bought drinks and the other fidgeted with them. So how about cleaning the cafeteria?"
