The following 2 weeks passed like a blur. Exams were scheduled at the end of the month. Everyone was busy with their noses in their books.
"Abhi, for the 100th time, first divide by the number of years and then add it to the total cost."
"One-this isn't the 100th time and two-why do we have to divide it?"
"Because we have it calculate the per year profit."
"Oh. Okay. But in the last question..."
"I give up." Aayush shut his books and started packing.
"Hey wait." Abhi whined. "A good teacher never gives up."
"They do if they have a student like you."
"Well good teachers definately rhyme." Khushi laughed.
"Don't rile him up we still have to pass," Omkar said
"Yeah, we can do this fun next month." Khushi hi fived Omkar.
"That's it. I'm leaving." Aayush stood up frustrated.
"Aayush." Diya pulled him back down. "Chill... And Abhi, seriously? This is too much now. Even a student from science faculty would have understood this concept by now."
"By the way, Abhi," Omkar said. "You still want to do business?"
"What?" Khushi looked at Abhi with wide eyes. "You are planning to do business in future?"
Abhi nodded.
"After seeing you studying for the last couple of days, I can definately say that business is something that you should never do in life." She laughed.
"Ha ha. Laugh all you want. But in future my name will get published in the Forbes magazine."
"Yeah. And the tagline will be The idiot who thought he could do business," Rohit said earning himself a glare from Abhi.
"Guys let's, get back to studies."
"See. Look how good Aayush is. A teacher can't bear the insult of his student," Abhi patted his back.
"Actually I can bear that. What I can't bear is spending another hour teaching you." Abhi gave him a flat look while others laughed again.
In their conversation Rohit noticed that Diya had stood up with her mobile and walked a few steps away before putting it to her ear. She had a huge smile on her face first. And as she kept talking her smile broadened. She almost jumped in excitement.
She glanced around. When she caught Rohit looking at her, she swiftly turned her back to him.
Second time.
A few moments later she walked back to the group.
"Khushi." She crouched beside her. "I have to go now.""Now? Where?"
"I have some work."
"But the exam is tomorrow morning at 8."
"I'll be back by then."
Khushi nodded. Diya packed her bag and picked up her stuff.
"Diya." Rohit stood up just before she could leave.
"I'm in a hurry Roh..."
"Should I drop you somewhere?" He cut her off.
"No. Thanks."
"Are you sure? It's pretty late." He said refering to the darkening sky.
"Yeah. I'll be fine," she said gruffly and left.
