Orion had warned Regulus that his sister wouldn't be able to make it to greet him on the platform. Nor would he be staying in the Lestrange manor all that much during this summer with his sister due to her pregnancy. However the first night he would stay only because Rabastan and his father needed to tell him about all that transpired.
He knew there was something off about the letters between him and his sister. But it was because Aurora didn't want to worry him that he was left in the dark, and after the explanation, he has never felt so utterly angry at his mother.
"Is it true...That your mother—" "Yes." The question had been about the eating habits their mother had enforced, and Regulus had backed Aurora's story and now their father was the last to hear.
It wasn't at all what Orion wanted to know, and far too late to rectify the situation either. But for once it was the truth and so he nodded along. "He and I would sneak food into her room at night." He was more than careful not to mention his brother's name, and his father and Rabastan had gotten the gist of what he had meant. It led to the small becoming of further curses from the father in direction of Walburga once again.
"And Rory...? How is she—" "She's being heavenly positive about everything." Regulus shook his head, he didn't believe that for a moment.
The baby, their mother, Sirius? It was three things too many that she should have to be dealing with.
"That sounds like her. And mother?"
"Not allowed at the manor." Rabastan was quick to settle the terms, but as the elf claimed that lunch was ready Regulus groaned.
He wasn't going to say he was hungry but either wizard could tell from the get-go that final exams and stress would make for a becoming welcome.
That and Aurora was eating for two lately.
He showed the wizards to the dining room while he took the liberty of retrieving his wife. Almost seven-month pregnant was looking beautiful on his wife as she was just resting her eyes, though the book looks long fallen on the floor.
The healers were worried she was going to be too weak for the birth, but Rory wanted to prove them wrong. Eating, exercising...Doing everything she can to mentally and physically in preparation to giving birth.
