|Ten Months Left|
Aurora hadn't told the children that their father was returning to their lives, and for one part of her plan, those around her agreed. She wanted the twins to focus on their final year at Salem, it was stressful enough having to lie to Romulus, especially when he'd been her rock.
It threw her to suspect that he knew a lot more than anyone warned her of uncovering, not that it was very hard. The photo albums were in her wardrobe, she wanted to say they were collecting dust, but they were always in a different position so she couldn't rightly know who it was taking them and replacing it.
Though when the twins were at Salem, the book still would move. So it had to be between the final three, yet Cara didn't seem so interested as Romulus or Imara on what their life used to be.
And Lori wasn't around to even be in the pictures—Though that in itself could be the reason why she'd do it, to see what could've been.
But then it was too obvious to deduct who it was. And now Rory held a tray of butter cookies and a pair of mugs filled with warm chocolate milk in them.
She knocked on her son's door lightly, and it caused him to frown. Hadn't he told Cara that he wanted to read? Honestly she was such a nuisance that— "Mum?" He felt almost guilty for thinking ill of his sister, but he wanted to enjoy the rest of the night before his older siblings returned.
When they were away he was the eldest, it was a grand feeling. But now he was off sulking once again, his mum hadn't noticed, or he thought she hadn't. But now seeing her with an offering of chocolate milk, the boy could only smile.
It wasn't that he's gone unnoticed, it was simply that five children was beginning to start being difficult, especially when Lorelei teamed up with Saros.
"Aidan said you were asking a few questions about your studies?" She hid her pout, as she needed to be the adult and not act like a child when trying to mentor her own kiddos. Aurora needed to keep the peace and ask properly.
"Yeah, but I figured it out."
"You never ask me any questions." His eyes faltered and he didn't want to point fingers on the fact he hadn't been the favorite child—But to Aurora she hadn't had any favors, she put too much responsibility on Romulus as he helped take care of Lorelei.
