Christmas had been an odd affair, the new Lestrange couple mingled and they enjoyed a Christmas dinner over the senior's house as a token of their first family Christmas together.

The interconnection between the Blacks and Lestranges were starting to make them more powerful among the sacred twenty-eight. It was making others tremble and it felt unnatural to have that sort of power, or elder witches in her mother's generation basically kissing the ground she walked on.

Only a few people knew the truth about the incident at Dareth academy, or the internal struggle of which Aurora suffered throughout her blindness. Others weren't granted such pleasure in knowing, it was these little things that would spread into rumors.

And the current rumor on today's agenda was if Aurora was Barron.

She had to take a moment to recover after hearing the word, it made her sick and shoot daggers to the woman who uttered it.

The woman tried to apologize but it was too late. "I believe it took you three years or more to produce an heir, and unlike you, I have a career. So I suggest you zip it or you can leave the premises." She hissed, but Rabastan hadn't missed Aurora's heated temperament as she excused herself to the loo.

Her hands clipped the sides of the counter as she looked dead ahead to the woman in the mirror. She allowed this moment to breathe, to not let that woman's words hurt her any more than it had.

However it was far too late, it rightly ruined the night as she started to wonder how many times that had been uttered behind her back.
Especially by her own mother.

She was proud of herself sure, but right now her walls were being torn down.

Rabastan's light knock only had her jump in a polite phrase of 'occupied'. He knew it was her, causing a quick spell to open the likes of the barrier.

"And what could that old hag have said to my beautiful wife that made her come in here?" He whispered, offering a handkerchief up for her to take.
Merlin did she need it too.
