"He knew you would be hidden from him. " Lucius says with a smirk.

"Wait what?" Draco sits up with sudden interest.

"I can't be. I'm not adopted." I add on.

"No. Just stolen. We were going to raise you, his demand." Lucius brags. "It is fitting that you are here."

"No. You're mistaken... I'm not. I'm a born Diggory." I mumble out then add, "I'd like a moment outside... or in my room... to breath."

"Come on, I'll take you to your room." Draco says, grabbing my hand.

As we leave the room I hear Narcissa scolds Lucius for being to forward and direct. I just walk faster.

Once in a opulent room, I sit on the bed and sigh.

"Ignore him. He doesn't know a thing about you." Draco says as he sits beside me.

"But what if..?" I start.

"Don't. You do not start doubting yourself. Even IF what father said were true... You are still the same Hufflepuff I met in first year. Kind and loyal to a fault." He states.

"To a fault? You think I'm too loyal? Too kind?" I look into his eyes, his magnificent eyes.

"You did make that promise to me... and you are sticking to it even after knowing my father is willingly a Death Eater." He whispers.

"What was that you told me... about not being who someone else says you are... I think that carries over to your father and you..." I whisper back.

Draco smirks, "There's that kindness..."

I giggle softly and pull him to me by his suit jacket, kissing him deeply and passionately.

His hands find their way quickly to my waist as he pulls me close.

I slide my hands up his chest and around his shoulders as I shift to straddle his lap. He nibbles my lip as I do and I grind slightly on him.

He moans and slides a hand up my back, into the bottom of my hair.

I pull back slightly with a blush and bite my lip slightly.

"Y/n... Don't let anyone change you. You're bloody perfect." Draco smiles. Something that I've grown quite accustomed to and very fond of.

"Don't let them change you either... You're perfect too..." I say, barely a whisper, as I caress his cheek softly.

He smirks and suddenly flips me over onto the bed. I squeal and look up at him, a giggle leaving my lips. He leans down and kisses me passionately. His hands traveling along my sides. After what feels like both forever and no time at all, he lays down beside me and pulls me close, nuzzling his face into my hair.

I hold his arms and curl into his safe embrace so that he is spooning me.

As I start to drift his hand goes to play with my hair, moving it to the side as his lips kiss along my shoulder to my neck.

Then, just as he started, he stops and pulls back.

"What is it?" I look to him.

"You... you have a marking on your neck... let me look..." Draco says, moving my hair into a ponytail. "Y/n... it's a snake..."

"What?! That's not funny." I lightly slap his arm as I sit up.

"No really. Come here..." Draco says softly and walks over to a vanity mirror.

I walk over and let him pull my hair up.

I turn my back to the mirror and look at him worried. He hands me a elegant hand mirror. I look and there it is.

A small snake right on my hair line behind my ear. If you weren't close to me or looking behind my ear, you wouldn't notice.

"Oh, Merlin's Beard... this can't be happening..." I mumble and put the mirror down.

"It's ok... we can keep it a secret. Nobody has to know..." Draco says, pulling me into his embrace.

I hold onto him and close my eyes. "Draco... What if he wants to use me..? He would be able to find me... Your father would have said...."

"I will protect you... no matter what... You are safe."  He interrupts.

I nod some.

A knock on the door separates us and I quickly pull down my hair.

Narcissa opens the door, leaning into the room. "Would you two like something to eat? It is dinnertime..."

"Yes please... that would be nice." I nod softly and smooth my hair down.

She smiles and leads us down to the dining room.

"Good to see you, apologies for being so forward. I understand that news would be shocking." Lucius says as he sits at the head of the table.

"It's ok... It was just unexpected." I say shyly and look to Draco.

"Let's avoid that topic for now Father. No reason to spoil the meal." Draco snaps and pulls a chair out for me before sitting beside me.

His parents both smile at us. It's almost eerie.

We eat a delicious meal in silence.

Once desert is brought out Narcissa looks to me, "Y/n. Lucius got permission for you to learn advanced healing with me. The offer is still open if you'd like."

"That would be wonderful, thank you." I smile.

"We can start tonight, if Draco hadn't made any plans for you already that is." She adds with a smirk.

"Really? I would love that. Some bonding as well. Like you said... I'm practically your daughter to be..." I say with a blush.

She smiles pleasantly, "That is true. Us women should have a strong trust in each other."

I nod and glance at Draco who is smiling slightly at me.

"Well why don't you two go to the study to begin and I will talk to Draco?" Lucius asks, though it feels like a command.

"Splendid. Come on dear." Narcissa says and stands.

I follow her lead to the study. She pulls out several books from the shelves and sets them down then looks to me. "You are aware of our family's history, and present endeavors, correct?"

"The connections to the Dark Lord? I know. It doesn't change that I fell for Draco years ago. Or who he is to me." I affirm.

'Things are only going to get worse. I need to know that you won't stray." Narcissa says, a hint of desperation in her eyes.

"I won't. I'm going to do what I can to help him through it. My parents are not thrilled about it... But I have to trust myself. And him." I say soft, I then put a hand over hers on the books and add in, "I will not let your son down. I promise you that."

She smiles and nods, "Then I should let you know that Lucius already reported to The Dark Lord that he found you. Is it true? May I check for the mark?"

"I didn't know it was there... Honestly. But Draco saw it while fiddling with my hair." I say softly and pull my hair to the side, showing her.

She smiles at me reassuringly, "It's going to be okay."
