Last Summer

Last summer i was fighting tooth and nail
Georgia was the goal and my chance to succeed and never fail again

What i thought was success turned into disaster and ruined last summer
It destroyed me and became a bummer

You know the saying, "shoot for the moon. Even if you miss, you'll land among the stars"
Well what i thought was the moon ended up being darkness that was far

Little did i know i was shooting for the stars but i hit the moon
I didnt know then but i would catch on soon

This summer the moon is beautiful, big and so clear
You are mine and ill hold you so dear
Ill never let you go and this is what i hope you always know

You mean the world to me... im grateful for last summer
