Nick
"Hey, Nick, I, uh, need to talk to you," Luke whispered. Clementine had gone to sleep, the night had just stretched on us. Kenny was even curled up in the corner, the baby in his arms.
"About?" I ask, and stretch upwards. My sleeping position was poor, but I didn't even have the energy to get comfortable.
"I dunno." Luke said, but his voice was thick with implications. I knew what he wanted to talk about. I swallowed, and started to get up with a grunt.
"Alright." I sigh. Luke started to walk ahead of me, downstairs.
It was darker down there, the only light was faded and disappearing. I heard stray walkers wander around outside the building, aware that some sort of alive activity was occupying it.
"So." I said awkwardly. "Speak."
"Actually, I just...before I do, tell me if it's too much." Luke said.
"What's too much? This?" I gestured between us.
"Yeah." Luke answered.
"Well...I don't know. Not yet..." I murmur in response.
"Okay, well...I said I needed time. And I can't just pull that out of my ass, it takes a lot just to have a peaceful moment." Luke said.
"Well you were lucky." I said, talking about Jane and Luke. Luke rolled his eyes.
Everyone had seemed crystined to the fact Jane had left, or maybe even pissed that she up and left. But I was happy. If I ever saw her face again, I'd probably just snap.
"Okay, well." Luke began again, moving on from that subject. "I just...do you really want this?"
That question was like a slap in the face. Did I?
"Of course." I said, my voice cracking. "Do you...?"
Luke was silent. "I don't know what I want."
That's not an answer.
"But I'll...I'll be fine." Luke said. And with that he pulled me in. I didn't even see his arms wrap around me, it was now too dark. He kissed me, and my cold chapped lips warmed up. I then felt metallical as I felt Luke slip off his shirt.
I then felt a sheet of nervousness food around me. This went from 0-100 real quick.
"What-" I began, but my back was charged into the wall as Luke held me there. He pulled my jacket off first, and then my shirt, my raw shoulder stinging to the bullet wound. Luke continued to kiss me, but I just trembled, not knowing what to do.
I unzipped Luke's pant zip, and I heard him softly gasp. Luke sucked my bare neck as he too fiddled with my zip, before I could feel the bare coldness on my exposed legs. But that was quickly replaced by a warm feeling between my legs as Luke grabbed my length. I moaned, and wrapped my arms around his body, holding him to me as I was pushed to the cold ground.
At that moment, I felt an anxious thought creep into the back of my head while Luke kneeled a little on my lap. What if someone walked in on us right now? I could see it now; Kenny's disappointed, mad face. Clementine's shocked innocence. Bonnie or Mike's expected look.
"S-stop..." I mutter, and grab Luke's shoulder and push him away. I felt Luke move away to my words, the dark probably covering his disappointment.
"Naw, I'm...I'm sorry." Luke said. "I-I shouldn't have pushed that onto you."
"No." I said, as Luke handed me my clothes. "I just...what if someone walks in?"
"Oh...yeah, you're right." Luke said, and we both started getting changed in the dark.
"I want it, Luke, okay?" I reassure. "I want what you have. And more."
"Okay." I heard Luke say, and I heard a smile in his voice.
I heard his footsteps on the stairs, and I followed him.
When we got upstairs, you could just see the silhouettes of everybody sleeping. I lay down, with Luke beside me. I made a bold move, as I shuffled close to Luke.
"I love you..." I whispered in his ear.
