Mia's pov

I woke to the sound of someone knocking on my bedroom door. The sheets a tangled mess around my legs, my hair all over the place and my face shoved in a pillow.
"Come in" I called out. My voice sounded muffled by the pillow. The door opened and the person stepped in. My pillow was pulled from my head and my body was dragged to the floor. The curtains were opened and a ray of sunlight hit my face. I grumbled underneath my breath but refused to open my eyes.
"Get up. You'll be late for school" Damian's voice penetrated my sleepy haze. I ignored him trying to continue my wonderful sleep.
"Mia if you are not out of this bed in ten seconds, I'll get the water bucket"
Damian threatened. Yeah right, like I haven't heard that one before, I snorted under my breath. Suddenly a cold and wet feeling surrounded my body. I sat up to see Damian standing over me with a now empty bucket. He grinned at me sheepishly
"I told you" he said. I took deep breaths trying to control my anger.
"Damian!!!" I yelled out. I tried to stand up but with the sheets tangled on my ankle, I fell down with a thud. Damian burst into laughter. The door opened and mum and dad came in. They stared at me on the floor and mum asked
"Erm Damian, why is Mia on the floor?"
An idea came to my mind and I grinned smugly at Damian. Damian arched a brow at me, probably wondering what I was up to. I turned to look at my parents and pretended to cry. I forced tears out of my eyelids and wailed loudly. My mum immediately came to wrap her arms around me.
"Sweetheart, what's wrong? Why are you crying?" she asked. I pretended to sniffle before replying
"Damian pushed me off the bed"
Damian's mouth fell open and he stared at me wide eyed.
"I did not!" he exclaimed. But mum didn't pay attention to him. She took off her flip-flops and began beating him with it as if he were a child.
"How many times have I told you not to touch my baby? You stubborn child. Don't ever hurt your little sister anymore" mum ranted and finally let him go. Damian rubbed his body while scowling at me. Me being the childish person I am, I stuck my tongue out at him. I heard a chuckle and turned to see dad watching me with a knowing expression. Shit I've been caught. I smiled at him guiltily and replied rolled his eyes at me.
"Come on sweetheart, let's give Mia time to clean up and get ready for school" Dad said while pulling mum out of the room.
"I'll get you back" Damian mouthed at me. I rolled my eyes at him and flipped him off.
"let's go Damian" Dad called out from the hallway. I giggled as Damian grumbled and left my room. I stood up from the floor and went into the bathroom to clean up.

Damian's pov

I never knew Mia could be so devious. After the fiasco at her room, mum has been giving me lectures about the responsibilities of a big brother. I rolled my eyes at that. With the way she's talking, you'd think she's addressing a five year old. I quickly finished my pancakes and stood up from the table. I walked into my study where Mia's bodyguards were waiting for me for briefing. Mia had told me that the only reason she wanted to go back to her school is to have Aiden and Karen sign the waiver. I know she doesn't expect anything negative to happen but I'm not too sure about that. So I'm taking precautions. She's going to school with style and with enough back up to know she's not to be messed with. I turned to the bodyguards and ordered
"You must protect her with your life. Be with her at all times. If she comes back in less than the perfect condition she left this house in, then there will be trouble. Take two extra cars filled with security guards. Have a limousine ready to take her to school and it should be ready to bring her back. If anything happens to her, I'll destroy you all. Am I understood?"
They all looked grim and serious.
"Yes sir" They chorused. Good! I'm not taking chances with my baby. I know she won't like the attention she will be getting but I'm doing it all for her.

Mia's pov

"What the fuck is going on?" I exclaimed when I saw the limousine pull up with two extra cars ahead of it. My bodyguard opened the door to the limousine and gestured for me to get in. I glared at him with all the annoyance I could muster.
"Are we going to a freaking wedding?" I snapped at him. He looked unaffected by my glare and I scoffed in anger.
"Forget about the limousine. I'll take one of the regular cars to school" I ordered. I walked passed my bodyguard, heading to one of the escort cars. I opened the passenger door and was about to get in when a hand closed it. I turned to my bodyguard with an arched brow waiting for an explanation.
"I'm sorry ma'am but the boss gave us an instruction not to let you change the arrangement." He said to me. My anger escalated to the point I was almost certain that smoke was coming out of my ears.
"Damian Carlos! You idiot" I swore out. I would have marched into the house to confront him but the idiot had left the house to work and my parents weren't home either. I looked at the time on my wristwatch and swore a steady stream of curses. I'm late for school. I ran into the limousine and entered into the back seat. My bodyguards quickly got into their respective cars and off we started the procession to school. I took deep breaths to calm the nerves that were creeping into me. Today will be my first time of seeing Karen and Aiden after that incident. I honestly wasn't looking forward to it. It'll be nerve racking for sure but I'll make sure they know that I'm no longer the innocent, naive girl they once knew. Right now I'm the daughter of a billionaire and I plan on using that to my advantage. My backpack felt extraordinarily hot with the waiver in it. It's time to execute phase two of my plan.
