Mia's pov
I smiled as Aiden chatted animatedly how Blake and Cameron abandoned him after they found out his betrayal. It sounded hilarious to me given that I was never close to either of them. I guess that's what life is about. I was close to Karen and she betrayed me. I wasn't close to Blake and Cameron and they defended me, even going as far as to end their friendship with their best friend. I need to see them to thank them. I looked over at Aiden. He seems so happy now that he thinks we are back together. Too bad I'll just break his heart. He is actually lucky it's only his heart that'll be broken. If my dad or Damian had a say in the matter, Aiden will be dead and buried by now. I almost feel guilty about my plan of revenge against him. But when I think about the way he hurt me, it strengthens my resolve.
Now to think of it, where is Karen? I'm sure the news of my arrival will have gotten to her. Maybe she's too scared to show her face to me. Or she's scared of Robin who is walking quietly behind me. I smirked at that. I don't blame her at all. Robin intimidates everyone. I mean, the guy is huge. Look at that height and those biceps...... I rolled my eyes at my thoughts. Aiden pulled me to a bench under a tree. I took a seat and Robin stood behind me. I was sure under those sunglasses, he was looking around for any possible danger. Overprotective goat.
"Baby hold on a minute. I need to speak to coach to excuse me from practice today" Aiden said to me. I smiled and nodded in reply. He pecked my forehead and ran off. Immediately he was out of sight, I took out my handkerchief and wiped my forehead. Yuck! I opened my backpack and took out a bag mouth wash. I uncapped it and poured some into my mouth. I gurgled it around before spitting it out. I repeated it for a couple more times till I was sure all of the bacteria from Aiden's lips were gone. I replaced the cap and kept it in my backpack. I could see Robin watching me. His lips were in a firm line but I could tell he was struggling to prevent the laughter from bubbling out. I didn't care about that. I brought out a hand sanitizer and squeezed some into my palms. I rubbed them together. When I was done, I took out the signed waiver. I checked it thoroughly to make sure it was well signed. Good. I kept it back in my backpack and relaxed on the bench. I couldn't believe Aiden believed my story so easily. Sign a document to prevent him from accusing me of blackmail? Yeah right. He is so stupid to believe that. What century does he live in? Moron. I might as well have some fun with him this last week of school. I closed my eyes and began listening to the sounds of my environment.
"Well well well, look who we have here. If it isn't the foolish Mia?" a voice broke me from my reverie. I opened my eyes to see Karen, my ex best friend standing few meters away from me. Smart of her not to come close, I'll pull her fake hair out. I looked her over. Her slutty outfit, her makeup caked face, her cold eyes. She looked miserable and desperate to me.
"What do you want Karen? You are disturbing my peace." I replied, my voice laced with boredom. She walked closer to me. I saw Robin move to stop her but I held my hand up, signalling him to not bother. There's no need for him to bother. I can handle this fake plastic barbie doll on my own. Karen glanced at Robin and for a second I saw fear in her eyes. She quickly covered it up with a sinister smile
"Let me guess. You went to seduce a rich man to hire a bodyguard for you?" she tried to taunt, but she just sounded stupid to me. And so far from the truth. I can't even imagine myself dating Damian. Hell, we'll kill each other before the day is over. I relaxed on the bench, my eyes closed and replied
"Not everyone thinks like you Karen"
Karen's smile turned into a frown and she snapped.
"Really? Your boyfriend seems to love it, don't you think?"
I rolled my eyes at her pathetic comeback. It hurt and I won't deny that but I'm not going to allow this pathetic excuse of a human being get the best of me. I smiled sweetly and replied
"Maybe but he ran back to me the first chance he got. What does that say about you?"
Karen's face turned red with anger and she screeched
"You home wrecker!!"
I laughed out at that.
"Home wrecker? Is that the best you could come up with?"
I took a step towards her. She looked scared at our close proximity but she didn't move. I thanked God for my height as I looked down at her in disdain. With the coldest voice and harshest glare, I said
"Now listen to me you ugly, miserable, disgusting, pathetic excuse of a human being. The next time you open that your maggot filled gutter mouth to say shit to me, I'll destroy you."
With that said, I walked away from her leaving her gaping at me.__________________________
Karen's pov
After the insult Mia lashed out on me, I wasn't back to my normal self. I still couldn't believe the once naive and shy Mia could be so bold to defend herself. Heck to talk back at me. It's as if she became another person entirely. I hate to say this but everything she said about me was nothing but the truth. I relied on slutty clothes and tons of makeup to appear confident. And it has been working all these while till now. Now no amount of slutty clothes couldget Damian to fall in love with me. Despite everything, he still chose Mia over me with her oversized shirts and makeup free face. I've tried all my tactics, even the ones my mother assured me were unfailing, nothing worked. Well I might as well give up. But if I am going to let Aiden go, I'll make sure he doesn't end up with Mia. I walked straight to the boys locker room where I was certain to find Aiden. I saw him coming out of the locker room.
"Aiden!" I called out. Aiden turned and saw me. His face was frowned with annoyance. Immediately I got to him, I wrapped my arms around him in a hug. Aiden pulled away from me and I struggled to hide my hurt. I noticed Mia coming from the opposite direction and I smirked. Time for revenge.
"What do you want Karen? I've told you to leave me alone. I'm with Mia now and I won't fall for your crap"
Aiden snapped at me. Mia was still far from us so she couldn't possibly have heard what Aiden said. She began looking around, probably searching for Aiden. When I saw she was looking in our direction, I pulled Aiden's head down and pressed my lips to his. Aiden appeared stunned for a second but he began to kiss me back. Aiden's eyes were closed tight but mine was wide open watching Mia's reaction. She looked unaffected. Mia walked towards us and smiled
"Wow Aiden, I'm sure this is what you meant when you asked for my forgiveness" Mia said
Aiden jerked away from me when he heard Mia's voice. He looked at Mia shocked and I couldn't keep the smile off my face.
"I'll see you later handsome to finish what we started" I said to Aiden. My expression was seductive and I ran my fingers down Aiden's arm. Aiden flinched away from me but I didn't care. What's done is done. Mia would never take him back. I smiled sweetly at both of them and walked to the parking lot and towards my car, adding extra sway to my hips.Make me happy by clicking on the little star button below. Thanks
