Phoebe fixed her black dress, checking her tired face in the mirror one more time before getting out of the car. She opted for a no makeup face today, she knew she was going to cry.

Yesterday night was the most difficult night after the miscarriage, she broke up with the love of her life. She said 'no' to him.

After what happened, there was no coming back, at least not right now. He went too far by saying those things...He played with her patience, she thought they could work it out but he wasn't thinking the same thing.

"Ready?" Shawn's voice snapped out of her thoughts as she hummed and walked behind him to the front door. "Wait...do you want to talk first or?"

Phoebe shook her head. "Do it. I don't think I'm capable of talking."

He cleared his throat and knocked, her mom came opening the door and embraced them in a big hug....just like she needed. Shawn should've hugged her like that.

"Hello kids, how are you feeling?" She queried.

Shawn coughed. "Things could be better."

"A lot better." Phoebe added.

She frowned but let them walk in. "It's only us and your dad, your siblings are not here."

"Phoebe, beautiful! Come here!" Said Shawn's dad as she walked to him. His arms wrapped around her as he hugged her tightly. "Are you okay?" He asked seeing the tears.

She quickly dried them and sniffled. "We just really needed to talk to you, guys...But before I'll talk with Shawn."

"Is it bad?" They asked as she shrugged.

She hummed. "Kind of."

Her legs went to Shawn in the kitchen. "Shawn, we have to talk."

He turned around. "Sure, go ahead."

"Your parents might hate you after what we will say them, I mean not hate you but they will be disappointed...I wanted to say that I will be here for you." She talked as Shawn stepped in front of her.

He cupped her face and lifted it. "Phoebe you're way too nice...I should've been by your side just like you are right now. My parents will forgive me but will you?"

She closed her eyes at his touch. "I-I don't know if this a good idea, you hurt me."

Shawn's lips formed a thin line. "I know. I'm sorry." He answered.

"I know you are but you're too late." She replied softly. "Alright, ready?"

Shawn linked his hand with hers and walked to his parents. They both sat on the couch watching his parents staring at them. Phoebe took a deep breath and offered them a sweet smile.

"So...Phoebe...And I lost the baby." He spoke as his parents gasped. "And...After that we decided to break up."

His mom frowned. "But, miscarriage is a common thing, what happened to you guys?"

Shawn rubbed his hands on his pants and scratched his neck. "Let's just say I haven't been the best towards her." He whispered. "I said awful things to her, I regret what I said and did."

"Can I talk you privately?" Asked his mom to her son.

Shawn hummed and walked away with his mom. As soon as she said that, both of them knew that she was mad. She stopped in the kitchen and turned around, her eyes watering, Shawn's heart broke as he witnessed his mom crying.

"Mom..." He started but she cut him off.

She inhaled. "She gave you everything! Everything Shawn. She gave you her love, she almost gave you a family and you let her down!" She whispered. "What happened?"

He sniffled and looked away. "I felt so hurt cause I lost my baby and I didn't know how to react or think. I treated her like shit. I said so many things to her but awful things." His bottom lip was shivering.

Her mom rubbed her face. "Do you know how it feels to be in her shoes right now?" She queried as he shook his head. "She feels literally like shit. the baby died in her, she carried her for almost four months and it died. I know how it feels..."

"You know?" Shawn questioned his mom.

She nodded tears still coming. "That's why I feel so disappointed. I know how it feels. I know how it is to lose my baby...but your father stayed by my side."

Shawn shook his head still a little shaken by the revelation. "I got scared and I panicked. I wish I could undo this and talk to her, comfort her but I fucked up."

"Oh yeah, you did." Answered Karen. "I want you to know that what you did is...wrong and bad. I should've been sad for you but actually I'm not. I'm disappointed and completely sorry for Phoebe. I bet that she made the choice to leave you?"

"She did." He murmured looking at the floor.

Karen chuckled lightly. "She's too good for this world, how is she still standing next to you after what you've done. She loves you and I think she will never stop but...you need to let her go."

"I know mom but I don't want to." He looked up, eyes filled with tears rolling down his cheeks. "I love her so much, it hurts."

She made his way to him and wrapped her arms around him, offering him her warm embrace. Phoebe stepped into the kitchen, tears coming down too, they wouldn't stop. As soon as Karen saw her, she pulled away, kissed Shawn's forehead and left them alone.

"Shawn?" Her voice cracked. "Are you okay?"

"Am not but it doesn't matter cause you're way worse than me." He replied. "I'm so sorry, Phoebe." He let himself collapse into her arms.

She finished by wrapping her arms around him. "I know you are, love." She whispered trying to cool him down.

"I love you, I love you so much." He murmured still crying.

She cupped his face and kissed his nose. "I love you, okay?" She kept repeating those three words until his cries stop. "So much"
