Three years ago, he lost her. Three years ago, he let her go and he never tried to find her again. He wanted to but Brian didn't let him do it, not until she was finally recovering from the miscarriage and the breakup.

Brian still followed her on social media, still talked to her and he knew everything. He was like her confident, many nights Shawn spent his free time being jealous of him cause deep inside he knew that Brian was driving to her house to talk and catch up and he would never have the chance to do that.

Moving back to Canada was one of the greatest choice he ever made, he needed to be home again. His parents forgave him after a few months who were honestly painful, his siblings did not talk to him for months too but they all came back, making Shawn feels better.

It happened sometimes that when he was walking around Toronto, he would see her from far but he never knew if it was really her. He never tried to know if it was her. She deserved that time apart from him. Her last words echoed in her mind.

"Because, I believe that if we are made for each other, I will find my way back to you but when the time is right."

She inhaled. "Try to find me again at the right time so we can have our happy ending." She teased but deep inside, she meant it.

They were meant to be. Shawn felt it. He never had this connection with one night stands or his last girlfriend. It was her and it would always be her.

He was decided to find her again, no matter what.

"Shawn?" Brian's fingers snapped in front of his face, making his thoughts going away. "What are you doing?"

He rubbed his eyes and shook his head. "Just thinking." He told him. "Why?"

"I was saying that we should go outside today." He repeated. "The weather looks nice. We could go somewhere in the woods." He proposed.

Shawn sighed. "I don't know. I need to work on some things tho, maybe later if you're okay with it?"

Brian hummed. "Sure, I'm going to see Poppy then I will come back home." He spoke as Shawn nodded.

Shawn chuckled. "When are you going to propose?"

Brian's cheeks turned dark red. "I don't know. Should I?"

Shawn shrugged. "I mean, I would." He laughed as his best friend laughed along with him.

He scratched the back of his neck. "Before I ask, I just want Phoebe to meet her." Shawn's eyes widened. "Cause she is someone important to me." He added, trying to argue.

Shawn offered a sad smile. "It's okay, Brian."

"I know it's hard for you to talk about her so sorry." Apologized the red head.

Shawn dipped on his peppermint tea. "How is she?"

"She's doing better." Answered Brian truthfully.

Shawn smiled softly, knowing that the love of his life is feeling better. "I miss her." He admitted quietly.

Brian let out a long sigh. "You still love her, don't you?"

Shawn scoffed. "Oh no! As you can see, I'm doing more than well and I moved on." He told him sarcastically.

Brian put his hands in his air. "Sorry, man. I thought you moved on."

"Because I got a girlfriend for six months? She wasn't her, no one is her. I want her and only her." He raised his voice. "You know it, Brian. You know that I'm totally whipped and I want her more than anything." He closed his eyes.

"Shawn..." Brian started but Shawn cut him off.

"I can't deal with the fact that she got a boyfriend who is probably better than me. I can't deal with the fact that she's not close to me. I can't deal with anything, I want her." He almost cried.

"But she has a boyfriend." Brian stated.

Shawn sighed. "We both know that we are meant to be. She's my only one, Bri. I won't let her go that easily."

He chuckled sadly. "She just wants someone who will love her and support her no matter what."

Shawn finished his tea and put the mug away. "I changed. This past three years were the hardest. I acted like a jerk for walking away when she needed me...But I'll never do that mistake again." He whispered. "She is the one."

"I believe you but try to not fuck up everything." He begged.

"I won't." He reassured him. "I will do things perfectly this time."

"You better." He warned Shawn.

He needed to find her again.
