It was the vibration of her cellphone that pulled Raven out of her nightmare. She spurt up in a sitting position when she realized she fell asleep at her desk again. She stumbled up off her chair heading towards the bathroom. She wasn't at the hotel, She was neighbour to Sean's house. While Lionel was a few houses up and Daria was behind her but you in a different lane over.

This was her room. She couldn't believe she actually had her own room and room next to her was empty according to Mario; her father it was supposed to be Max butI am looking at how things are now it would turn into Ryn's room since he have dedicated his free time to allow sebastian to paint butterflies on the white walls under his watchful eyes.

Raven flash water on her drench face again as she stare into the Mirror. Her bathroom was still unstock and situated to her liking. Sebastian and Diara will be following her to go house shopping tommorrow. Only a white towel was spread out by the bathtub and a red towel was set by the rack since she have taken a shower early. As she dries her face her mind flutter back to the nightmare. She was in a dark room and her brother's face was zooming in and out every few seconds tell her to take deep breaths. It wasn't until the end she realized she was bounded sitting on a chair grasping for breaths.

And then before the dream ends she was surrounded by a dozen girls looking unhealthy yearning to be save it was Aaliyah face that kept calling out to her. She didn't look like the bitch that was ready to pound at you she look like she desperately needs help. She walks back into the room as her eyes landed on her brother's box.

Something was off and she could sense it was like a six or seventh sense she have acquired over of the span of her life. She pulled the box open and she stare at items inside. She runs her hands over the items inside until her fingers landed on a book with gold spine. Gold was her brother's favourite. She remember seeing this book once her brother used to carry it around with him until he didn't. She even search his room once and didn't find it.

"Raven?" She hears Mario voice outside her room door.

"It's open." She called out and she watch as Mario walked into her new room.

"Can't sleep?" He asked.

"Woke up from a nightmare." She answered. "Wanna talk about it?" He asked.

"No it's badluck to talk about nightmares." She said running her fingers over Maximus. It was scribbled on the title line in his handwriting.

"Where did you find this box?" she asked changing the conversation.

"In your old apartment under your bed stack away with all your mystrey novels." He answered.

"He's such a smart ass."

"Who?"

"Max. He hide his Journals one place he knew I'll never take the time to look. " he said.

"Journals?"

"Yeah. He didn't want anyone or guys to know how much he was a softy when it comes to words or mastering english." She said.

"He thought the guys would call him names and bully him for being girly." He said.

"I guess he got that from your grandfather. He was a skill master for words." Mario said.

"Yeah." She said as she opens the book to a couple pages. She turn until she reach a page where another page was staple onto the page but it was folded up neatly.

She unfolded the paper and ontop the A was written at the top of the page. It look to be an english literature assingment. She run her eyes over the page and she realized it was a poem.

It reads:

The Anchor to Our Secret

"He sure does have a way with words." Mario said after she finish reading.

"It was his first gift but he neglect it to do something more manly." She said as she skips a few more pages. Until she reach the final entire. Lionel name within the sentence caught his eyes.

It reads;

Dear Grandpa,

Something has happen to Lionel. He spend the night with Sean again and I am freak out about how he is behaving. One minute he's sweet and the guy I love.

And Next he's a guy on steriod not having no memory of what he's has done the night before. It so freaking nerve racking I am worried about him. I tried to question Sean about it and he's saying I don't know Lionel like he does. Lionel tend to go haywire after a party and getting laid something about something in his liquor but I know Lionel he takes medications and he knows what drinking liquor can do to his health.

No one but his parents and I know about his condition. His parents doesn't know I know because he doesn't want them to know I know. Right now he's asleep and I am happy he's getting some sleep he hardly does these days. I have call in sick for both of us. The school would believe judging by the game we won three nights ago but Raven wouldn't because she knows I hardly get sick so I made up a lie and told her my girlfriend his sick yada yada . I know it's wrong to keep our relationship a secret from her even though she knows I'm gay but I know Raven and how much she hates Lionel especially after what he did to her books when he came over once to visit at our apartment.

I manage to mail you pictures of his medication hoping you can do some deep researching for him. Letting me know if they have side effects and how dangerous they are. I have no more copy because I used his camera to take them and I had to delete them so no evidence will lead to me invading his privacy.

Raven stare at the note and wondered what Max was talking about. She shut the book and stare at Mario. "I know you would rather they stay at the hotel but I always imagine when I have my first child that I would get a house and it's seems my father had it in mind to retire to this small town so things work out.

"What is it about this town that you all like so much." Raven question.

"Maybe it's the town that call out to people in its own way. I guess it sees what wants and think that it would be perfect with them in it." He answered.

"You ever wondered why you didn't leave after your brother?"

"Nah not really. I just wanted the truth." She shrugged her shoulders.

"Maybe that's the thing. The truth need to be reveal and you are the perfect candiate." He said smiling at her.

"Why me?"

"You know when to kill them with kindness."

"I don't think I'm kind more like Unkind." She got up.

"Exactly the point." He said.
