The Unkindness Of Raven

"WE'VE GOT A PROBLEM," A male voice announced as he drops the photographs on the table. He waited impatiently as the chair turn and they were face to face.

"So I have heard." He blows smoke into the air. He watches as the eyes linger on the photographs of the six students who were prying in their business.

"I thought we handle that situation we had at Eddington High." He stares up at the man before him.

"We did," he answered swiftly and honestly.

"So why do we still have a problem?" He question.

"Hi-i-ss death has evoked issues, Sir." He stuttered nervously.

"No one worries about death in Pepper Ridge so I'm curious. Who's the doll worrying about the simple death of a basketball player." He asked amused.

"The Doll?" He uttered in question.

"It has to be a girl." He stated firmly discarding his cigar.

"Who's the Doll?"

He steps forward and pick up the photograph and hand it to him. He glances down at beautiful dark skin girl with shocking blue eyes and a massive head of curls starring at him with so much anger in her eyes.

"What's the relation?" He question.

"If it a girlfriend she'll get over it." He smiled amusing and in glee.

"The boy that was killed is her brother." He told him. He laughs out roughly causing the man before him to tense up. So much darkness engulf they were no space for a bit of light.

"Death to the family is like hard liquor. It burns before you can swallow it." He stated with admiration.

"She's also the daughter of that reporter we got rid off." He notifies him causing him to slam his glass of Jack Daniel onto the hardwood desk.

"Didn't you say no one survives that crash?" He spurts up out of his chair.

"Yes Sir the Medical Examiner and the Coroner in Pepper Ridge gave us solid evidence that she and girl were dead." He stuttered stepping away from the table.

Before he could blink a gun was pointing into his face, then shot fired.

"Cassandra!" He called out, A few seconds later a slim woman rushed into the room, almost skidding but cover her mouth to subside any scream she was to utter.

"Yes Boss," she blinked nervously starring at the gun in his hand.

"Get this cleanup and Get Chief Armstrong on the line!" He ordered as he picked up the photograph and glare at it. A sudden footstep walked into the room.

"Just when I thought I didn't have to deal with a Sanguine anymore, Another one pops up" he gritted out.

" Honey I'm sure you'll get rid of her like her mother. " the woman soothes him.

The Office Phone beeps and he reluctantly answered it.

"Boss Chief Armstrong on the line," Cassandra announced.

"Sir," Chief Armstrong answered.

"Who is this Doll digging into my business?" He question.

"What are you talking about Sir?" He questioned with fear lace in his reply.

"Don't play Dumb. I didn't appoint you Chief to play Dumb with me. I appoint you to keep my business golden." He snaps.

"I am starring at a beautiful blue eye bitch. Thought I got rid of one before." He spat.

"And why am I finding out that this reporter has another daughter." He question.

"And information on the missing one?" He asked.

"No Sir. We're soon to declare her dead." He told him.

"I thought you said this reporter only had one kid. Where did the last two come from" he asked?

"She lied to us sir, you know her papers we're fake to protect the target." He reminded him.

"I thought you said you'll handle this death as a suicide." He gritted.

"I did but Raven unravel. She a lot to handle." He muttered.

"It's your job to make things like this go away! Not escalate Chief." He shouted into the phone.

"Well if you had let me handle the boy we wouldn't be in this shit." He muttered.

"Don't you dare get spicy with me chief. I handle my business how I like. It's your job to keep my business on the good side that I like." He sips his Hennessy.

"She's a lot like her mother unpredictable and a hothead. She's not backing down till she's staring in the face of her brother's killer." Chief Armstrong said.

"Also she has help and not the kind you like. I'm sure your source gave you other photos and together believe me they are confidently dangerous." He said.

"They are just a bunch of kids." He growls annoyed.

"I got a handle you can pipe in. The Basketball team needs its old Captain." He suggested.

"Well then let the game begin, And you clear up your shit and don't let me send someone down there to handle it or you!" He threats with a smile as his nephews walk into the room.

"Tell me more about her Chief. I am already curious about her." He smirks picking up the photo.

"She's beautiful." He commented.

"But Unkindness." He said in a tone that causes him to gulp. He hangs up the phone and stares up at his nephews.

"Boys it's time to get back in the game." He smiled at them deviously.
