TWENTY-ONE | RAVEN

OUTSIDE the Pizza Cub Raven waited on Sebastian to pick her up. The evening dust as just started to stir up and the sidewalks were blooming with people from all over, She unwraps a watermelon bubble gum and slips into her mouth when she looks up to see the mysterious girl standing across the road.

She was filled with mud, Her sneakers were icing with mud as she stood and stared at her. A few people that were walking past glare at her in disgust as she stood there staring at her. She held something in her hand, Raven watched as the girl slip it to the ground before walking away.

Raven check the street twice before rushing over to she was about to call out to her when a polaroid photo caught her eye, she spurts down and picked it up. It was a photo of herself sitting next to her mother on the same wall, where she had seen Max, the mysterious girl and herself sitting one day she turn over the photo to see "Summer 2012"  scribbled in a red sharpie. She looks up in the direction where she went, she quickly stuffs the polarized photo into her bag and went around the corner where she saw Mr. Nonage.

"Raven," He greeted her with a wide mysterious grin.

"Hi," She simply replied as she stares ahead at him to see if there was any sign of the mysterious girl rushing away but she swear this girl was a track star. "I was just coming to visit you at the Pizza Cub," he told her as Raven did a rundown of his awkward attire which consists of an oversize Dress pant, a Red T-Shirt and his black sneakers with the white bottom which had mud splattered on it.

"I am just getting off, heading home," she told him.

"Then it's a good thing I cut my last class." he smiled at her.

"Maybe," she pushes her hair behind her ears.

"I got something for you," She watched him reach into his bag as he pulled out the familiar brown Covered book right away Raven recognize the book It was her mother's Journal. Raven spurt up excited as she pulled him into a quick grip book before taking the book from his hand.

"I found it in lost and found the box yesterday," He told her as Raven run her hand over the engraving that filled half the cover. "Thank You so much," She smiled at him, as she pulled the button and flip the pages when she realized a couple pages were torn out. She looks up at Mr. Nonage in shocked as she turns the book upside down hoping the missing pages would fall.

"What is it?" he asked.

"A couple pages are missing," She blurted out anger surfacing through her body.

"I am really sorry, I didn't realize I just picked it up, one look at the ladybug sticker and I knew it was yours and I bought it straight to you," he told her.

"Hey Raven," Sebastian called out as he walked over with his helmet in his hand.

"What's wrong? You got that face when you want to hit Lionel in the face," Sebastian stated as he pushes her hair out of her face. "Mr. Nonage found my mother's journal and someone tore a couple page out," she snaps.

"What could someone possibly want out of your mother's Journal ?" he asked.

"How the fuck would I know?" She cursed as she grabs the book from him and stuffs it into her bag with tears burning her eyes. "Let's go," she turned to leave.

"I'll check and see if the pages are where I found the Journal and see if anything comes up." Mr. Nonage spoke up. "Thank You," she nodded and turned towards Sebastian bike.

"Do you know the pages that are missing?" Sebastian asked as he hands her the helmet he got for her, She looks down at the helmet to see that the helmet was new. It was a black, but on it was a graffiti she never saw on any other helmet. "Did you do this?" She asked running her hands over the painting of ladybugs and green leaves with her name scribbled on one of the leaves.

"Yes, You like?" he asked.

"Like it? I love it!" She genuinely smiled up at him. Raven waited until Sebastian climb on before she did, wrapping her hands around his waist. She took one glance towards the side of the road to see Mr. Nonage still watching them before Sebastian started the bike. Within half an hour they both arrive at Lousiville Grand Hotel, Where Lilly Ferguson was waiting for her by the door with a huge pink Victoria Secret on her arm while she held hanger in her hand which probably held her dress that she has used a large garbage to cover it.

"Hey, Sebastian!" She walked towards us as she climbs off Sebastian Bike.

"Hey Lilly," He smiled at her. Lilly was dress in a Black Jeans short, A Lavender tank top with white slippers. Her box braided hair was pulled into a low ponytail. Her slim lips were coated with clear lip gloss and her eyes with purple eyeshadow. "You're going to love Raven more when you see her tonight," she told him.

"Is that so?" he asked, as he stares at Raven. Raven quickly hand him the helmet and thank him before heading into the hotel. "I can't wait," he shouted as they went into the lobby of the hotel where Raven saw Mario at the check out counter with his duffel bag and suitcase. She watches as he reaches into his pocket for his cell phone.

"Hey," she called out to him as Lilly followed her.

"I was just about to call you," he said, slipping the phone back into his pocket.

"Going somewhere?" She asked, starring at his duffel bags on the floor.

"I have to head back to the state for a couple days," he replied, a sadness overtook her body. She has gotten so used to him fixing her breakfast, making sure she wasn't getting on Chief Armstrong Radar for the past weeks since she met him. Having him around kind of remind her of Max when he was alive. Always making sure she was okay, Letting her be herself and most important keeping her from jumping off the same cliff that has taken her brother away since they were nowhere near finding out who the hell is out to get her and who killed max.

"I'll be back," he pulled her into a hug, something he hasn't done since they met because she wouldn't allow it because she wasn't fond of it. But it seems the expression on her face gave her away as she wraps her arms around his waist allowing herself to embrace the man who has given her the feeling of happiness again in his own way.

"I'm just a phone call away, If you need anything just come and talk to Stacy," he told her as she looks to the pulse size figure woman who he has grown to know for the past month she was living here. "So be on your best behavior until I get back," he said in a warning tone.

"That I can't promise," She grins at him.

"Always the Rebel," he pulled her gently towards him as he kisses her forehead before reaching for his luggage. "You know you love me anyway," Raven smiled at him. He nodded.

"Alright my ladybug, enjoy your night and don't do too much Nancy. Live a little," he said before walking out the lobby to a Cab that was waiting for him.
