Three Monkeys

Jasmine took her day off that day while Xavier still went to work for his extra shift that he missed from the other days. Jasmine took the chance and went to visit her sister that afternoon.

“I think that guy looks nice.” Chloe and Jasmine eyed at the TV screen hypnotized at the soccer guy’s running back and forth on the monitor. Jasmine shook her head biting her finger nails, trying to decide.

“I think number 27 looks better.” Jasmine tried to keep track on the guy while he disappears in his team.

“They need to stop running.” Chloe laughs and Jasmine nodded laughing along with her sister, they high five each other and lay their backs to the couch.

“They just need to freeze in front of us so take a closer look.” Jasmine giggles and Chloe agreed, turning towards Jasmine.

“Look who’s blushing.” Chloe pokes Jasmine’s cheek making her laugh even harder and the red shade on her face grew darker.

“Stop!” Jasmine pushes Chloe’s hand down and tried to keep track of the soccer player displayed on the television show. Chloe shakes her head and giggles,

“Ooh I’ll tell Zavy! You’re checking soccer guys out!” Chloe teased and Jasmine glares at her sister for a second.

“He won’t mind!” Jasmine told herself out loud and Chloe nods her head.

“Yeah he will!”

“No he won’t!”

“Yes he will.” Chloe pinches Jasmine’s cheek and giggles, “Just you watch sissy, he will be jelly!”

Jasmine crossed her arms and lean back on the couch nodding her head, “mhmm suuree.” She stared back at the television screen that switched to advertisements.

Chloe checked her phone and realized out late it would be. “Don’t you need to go pick someone up?” She winked and Jasmine giggles.

“You should tag a long?” Jasmine pulled her sister up but Chloe denied not feeling good.

“I’m too tired today.” Chloe admitted, today was just not her day, “I’ll probably take some medicine and go to bed early today.”

Jasmine kept holding Chloe’s finger with pleading eyes and pouted lips, “There are basketball guys that you might think are cute…”

“I don’t think they are ready for this cutie to come visit them.” Chloe winks, “Tell them to get ready next time when I come and don’t be too sweaty.”

“Oh wow!” Jasmine laughs letting go of Chloe’s hand,

“And some cologne too. But not too much, just enough to hide the sweaty smell away.” Chloe joins the laughter and Jasmine nodded trying to stop laughing and hugs her sister one last time before heading out the door.

Chloe sighed and leans back and touched her stomach softly feeling a kick from her twins. They have just been kicking her too much lately. Did they miss that special someone too? Chloe picked up her phone and stares at the black screen. Now she knows how hard it was to go a week or two without him. But she had to accept reality; he’s not coming back until a month later. Can she wait that long? She literally felt so sick of the thought and got up to get a drink of water. The cold liquid slipped down her throat making her feel more refreshed. Candy runs up to her and snuggles against her hind leg with his soft fur caressing her skin gently.

“I love you too!” Chloe set one hand on her belly and the other ruffling the puppy’s head. The dog whimpers and sat down on the kitchen floor where he usually sits at, at the side of the fridge. Chloe strolls to the yard and took a small walk around the garden on roses that bloomed beautifully. Even though she didn’t have Adrian here, she remembered that she still had her two kids. But she still misses him. Ring. Chloe took her cell phone out of her pocket and sighed heavily not wanting to talk to anyone right now.
