Stupid Idiot
“He’s an idiot.” Jasmine leaned against the wall and stared at Jake evilly, “he always puts work in front of me.” Jasmine screams, ready to blow up. Jake stayed quiet hearing the bad news about his brother with no reaction. He blames himself for Xavier’s hard working habit.
“Like What. The. Fuck.” Jasmine’s was only way of venting this anger inside her was to yell. “He’s a stupid idiot that thinks I have Norovirus.” Jasmine took a deep breath. “He’s a punk; he doesn’t care about me anymore. He should go marry work.” Jasmine screams at the top of her lungs and then her stomach started hurting. She kneels over trying to grasp the belly from the hard time the child was giving her and Jake rushes over.
“Is the baby bothering you?” Jake was worried about Jasmine and then helps her over to a bench outside of the cafeteria.
“I’m fine.” Jasmine puts both her elbows on the table and rubs her forehead with her hand from the tiredness. Jake has always been there for her, to Jasmine Jake was one of the most important person in her life. Without him, then she didn’t know who to talk to when Xavier was busy. Jake got Jasmine some chocolate milk, but she didn’t touch it. She had no appetite to put anything in.
“When are you planning to tell him?” Jake asks.
“I’m not telling him. I don’t know how.” Jasmine rolled her eyes at the slightest thought of Xavier. “He changed. Before we married, he wasn’t like this.” Jasmine swallows hard, “this Xavier is just a person obsessive. I don’t want him. I want the old Xavier I know.” Jasmine puts her head down on the table.
Jake shakes his head, “he didn’t change.” He said, but Jasmine ignores him. “He still really cares about you even though he doesn’t show it.”
Jasmine shot her head up in fury, “that’s bull shit. He doesn’t care at all. Work always comes first, what place am I in his heart? After all the patients?” Jasmine asks rhetorically and puts her head down again. Xavier came to lunch late and didn’t feel like eating after surgery so he just walks around the cafeteria to find his wife. Then he got a glimpse of two familiar figures sitting together. Xavier smiles and walks over, taking a seat next to his wife and snakes an arm around her waist.
“Dr. Jasmine Santiago, I’m sorry, I had to do surgery.” Xavier was self explanatory for coming late. He knew lunch was almost over for the neuro surgeons, but he still wanted time with Jasmine. Why does her stomach feel rounder and harder? Jasmine moved away and stood up, still upset.
“Enjoy, I have to go.” Jasmine moved away quickly and straight towards the hall to her department. Xavier sat in his seat stunned, on the clock there was like fifteen minutes left. After yesterday when she explained to him she doesn’t have that disease she never said anything more to him. Xavier looks at his brother.
“Is she upset at me?” He needed to find a source of info somewhere.
Jake shrugged and went over to pat his brother’s back, “take care of her and think carefully about her symptoms.” his brother left right after Jasmine shocking Xavier even more. It was bothering him, he didn’t feel right. Xavier went to go visit the gynecologist. His old friend is a doctor that works in the department.
“What brings our hospitals hottie here?” Jennifer winked as Xavier took a seat across from her.
Xavier was suspecting something so he came to talk to the specialist in women, “Jasmine.” He cut to the chase, not wanting to be long winded.
“What’s up with Dr. Jasmine Santiago?” Jennifer looks at Xavier worriedly. He was as pale as a ghost.
“D-do you know the symptoms of vomiting, headache, and loss of appetite?” Xavier clarifies remembering Jasmine having a hard time in the morning. Even when he offered candy, she wouldn’t take it.
