Today was going to be a horrible day. I mean, yeah, I felt less sick than I did yesterday but I still felt like crap. My mom was making me go to school since I've already missed three days in a row, and that made me upset.

I've been enjoying these few days at home by myself. All of my siblings gone at school, my annoying mother gone at work, and it was just me all by myself where I could read books and drink hot chocolate and think about how much my life sucked.

"What if I throw up at school?" I frown. I know I won't end up vomiting at school, but I'll do anything not to go.

My mom rolls her eyes. "If you feel like you're going to throw up, run out of the classroom and to the bathroom. If you do, I'll come pick you up."

"But you'll be at work?"

"Just get out of the car before you end up being late." she says in an irritated tone and I sigh, opening the car door and stepping out. I adjust my bag on my shoulders and fix my uniform.

"Andrea!" I hear my name being called as soon as I step foot into hell- oops, I meant school. No I didn't.

I look to my left to see my good friend Samantha and I force myself to smile. To be honest, I don't want to communicate with anyone today. I just wanna be home like I have been for the past three days.

"Where have you been?" she asks me.

"Sick." I reply.

"I have to go or else Madison will leave without me." I tell Samantha and Matthew, my two closest friends. I wouldn't consider them my 'best friends' but they are the only people I talk to pretty much.

"She's such a bitch." I hear Matt mutter when I stand up to leave, referring to my sister Madison, and I laugh, waving at them.

I find my sister's car and when I spot it, I scowl at her making out with her boyfriend or whatever against it.

"Hey! We have to pick up Anna too, you know!" I yell at my older sister and she ignores me. I frown at the thought of my little sister waiting at her school alone, the last one to be picked up because Madison was busy making out with her boyfriend.

I get into the car where my other sister, Teala, was already sitting in the passenger seat on her phone. She didn't even acknowledge my existence as I get comfortable in the back seat. Madison gets in minutes later and I huff.

"What's your problem?" she sneers as she starts the car.

"You." I reply. "You're my problem."

When we get to my younger sister's school, my heart saddens at the sight of her sitting on the bench all alone, waiting. When she sees the car her eyes light up in happiness and she hops off the bench, running towards us.

"Sorry we're late Anna, your older sister thought her boyfriend was more important than you." I say when she gets into the car and Madison scoffs.

Anna is my only sibling that likes me. Even though she's the youngest at seven years old, I talk to her the most.

"I have to stop at the pharmacy to pick up something." Madison says and I groan. I just want to go straight home.

Hey, maybe that boy will be working there again.

"Go inside and buy me some tampons." Madison orders as she throws a twenty dollar bill at me.

I glare at her, throwing it back. "Go do it yourself."

"We aren't leaving until you go in and get them."

I seriously hate her. So much. I snatch the money back from her and get out of the car, purposely slamming the car door shut. I walk in and the first thing I do is look towards the cash register to see if the boy was working, but nobody was there. I shrug and head over to get Madison's stupid tampons.

I don't care what kind she told me to get because I slammed the door before I could listen, so I just grab whatever since it doesn't matter to me what she needs. I head back to the cash register, waiting for someone to appear behind the counter.

I tap my black-painted fingernails on the counter as I wait, and suddenly the same boy from last time comes up. "Hey, sorry about that. I was helping my dad back there. Hey, I know you."

"You don't know me." I say. "You just remember me from when I came in to get medicine."

"Right." he says, smiling. "And now you're getting..." he looks down and we both blush at the box of tampons on the counter. "Oh."

He slides the box over the scanner thing and tells me how much, so I hand him the twenty. As he gets my change, he says, "Are you feeling better?"

"Yeah."

"So you're back in school?" he asks, handing me my change back.

"Well I'm in a school uniform, aren't I?"

"You're kind of mean." he pouts. Wow, he's cute, and I'm so mean. There is one of the many reasons why I hate myself.

"Thanks." I say instead of apologizing. It takes a lot in me to apologize to someone. For me to do that, I would have to be truly sorry.

I grab the bag and right before I leave he speaks again. "Hey, what's your name?"

"Andrea." I answer.

He smiles. "Have a nice day, Andrea."

"I won't." I forcefully smile at him before I leave the pharmacy.
