Being back in school sucked a lot, especially after that amazing night I had with Andrea. Well, I don't know if I would call it amazing. When it was just Andrea and I exploring the lights of Chicago, it was amazing. Everything before that, not so much.

"What did you do on Halloween?" My best friend Ian asked me while we sat in History class.

"Went to a party in Chicago." I replied and as he tells me what he did, I get a text from Andrea. I accidentally zone out everything my friend is telling me as I begin to text her.

Andrea: shawn i'm so tired

Shawn: Why?

Andrea: i was up until like 3 am

Andrea: i now regret that

Shawn: Why were u up that late ?!

Andrea: i couldn't sleep

Shawn: Why ?are you okay?

Andrea: i'm fine lol

"Are you even listening to a word I'm saying?!" Ian's voice interrupts me from texting and I look up at him.

"Uh, no." I respond truthfully and he rolls his eyes at me. The bell rings shortly after that and I sigh in relief because the day is finally over. I have a bunch of homework to do tonight, but all I really wanna do is sleep.

Later, while I'm at sat at the table working on homework, Andrea texts me again.

Andrea: shawn!!!!

Andrea: omg

Andrea: I CANT BREATHE

Andrea: IM FREAKINF OUY

Shawn: What????????

Andrea: *picture message*

She sent me a screenshot of her and some kid's conversation on the Twitter direct message. His name was Michael Clifford I guess, and in the screenshot he was asking Andrea for her number.

Andrea then texted me again.

Andrea: HE IS A REALLY ATTRACTIVE SENIOR

Andrea: I'M A FREAKING FRESHMAN

Shawn: oh

Shawn: that's good.

Shawn: im happy for you

Andrea: HE ASKED ME FOR MY NUMBER JSIFKSKCMKARNNXA SHANE THIS IS IMPORTANT

Shawn: SHaNe ????

Andrea: IM SORRY IM JUST EXCITED WOW THIS NEVER HAPPENS TO ME

Shawn: well that's good i guess.

Andrea: why aren't you excited for me

Andrea: nvm i thought we were friends so i thought i could go to you to share my excitement and i thought that you could give me advice on what to reply to him but i guess not. bye

I stare at her text for at least ten minutes. I didn't mean to upset her, I was just upset myself. I don't know why though... maybe it's because I fucking like her.

I was also confused. I thought she didn't have crushes on guys. Well, she didn't exactly say she had a crush on him, but she was acting like it. She also said 'this never happens to me.'

That surprised me a bit. She's gorgeous, guys should take interest in her all the time, but I'm glad they don't. That would mean she would have so many guys better looking than me wanting her.

Shit, I like her.

It was a few days later when I talked to Shawn again. It was around ten at night, and I had school the next day but I just wanted to talk to Shawn. To be honest, I missed him.

Andrea: not that you care, but michael found out i was only a freshman and told me that we can't talk anymore.

Andrea: i'm actually really upset

Andrea: like my heart hurts

Andrea: why doesn't anyone like me?

I close my eyes and hold my phone as I wait for a reply.

Shawn: I thought you didn't want anyone to like you?

Andrea: i just say that so it will hurt less knowing that nobody likes me.

Shawn: Andrea, people like you.

Andrea: you don't know that.

Shawn: Oh yes I do. You know maybe they're just afraid ? You act like you don't want anyone to like you , and you act like you don't like anyone. That may make someone that likes you think that there's no chance your gonna like him back

I reread his texts many of times before thinking about it. Maybe there was a chance that Shawn liked me...

I laugh out loud at the thought. I am so stupid, of course Shawn doesn't like me. He's still in love with his ex girlfriend, and he could get someone so much better than me.

Before I got a chance to reply, Shawn texted me again.

Shawn: Hey do you want to hangout this weekend?

Andrea: yeah

Shawn: Saturday?

Andrea: sounds good

Shawn: Yay *smiley face emoji or whatever*

Andrea: i've been wanting to ask you, how are things with bella?

Shawn: oh

Shawn: um

Shawn: she's trying to get back together.
