(Peter's POV) (Whole Chapter)

I ran to the elevator in Stark Tower and pressed the down button. Today we were seeing who could pick up Mjolnir, Uncle Thor's hammer.

I've gotten used to calling everyone in the Avengers squad Aunt and Uncle. But I call Tony dad. They call me "kid" or "Pete" but I don't mind. I'm just glad they accept me

Though I'm not an Avenger I do still look up to them and they ask me to help on missions when they need special assistance like fighting a monster or something. It's pretty awesome.

The elevator door opens and I get in and press the button to the 5th floor.

"Hello, Baby Spider. Tin Can and the team is waiting for you." FRIDAY reports. I gave Clint the idea to try to hack into FRIDAY's main frame and change what he calls all of us, so he did. He even gave a stupid nickname to himself. He gave one to me, but it's not really mean or jokey. They know what happens with me. I sometimes take things a little... too seriously.

"Hey, FRI. Thanks for the report." I respond after a few moments.

"Sure thing, Baby Spider."

I whistle a tune and take out my phone to look at the games before the elevator dings and I walk out.

I walk through the hallways and pocket my phone. I won't really need it. I'm gonna be watching people try to pick up Mjolnir for Heaven's Sake!

I open the door to the living room. And see them all chatting amongst themselves on the couch.

"Hey, guys!" I say, taking a seat next to Mr. Stark.

"Hey, kiddo. We ready to get started?" Tony asked the team.

The team agrees and we get started.

"Man of Spiders, would you like to go first?" Thor asks.

"Nah, I'll go last." I say and nudge Mr. Stark.

"Make dad go first."

So then, everyone tries to pick up Mjolnir. But nobody is successful. The only thing that really happened is when Steve tried, he could actually move it, but not pick it up. And Aunt Tasha passed.

So now it was my turn.

I got up, walked over to the table and wrapped my hands around its handle. I looked at it and pulled, trying my best to pick it up, but, to no avail.

I huff and try again. This time, I close my eyes and pull as hard as I can.

I hear a few gasps and open my right eye first.

I then open both of my eyes. I'm lifting it! Maybe not by a lot, but at least by 3 inches!

"Oh my God!" I shout. I look at Uncle Thor with a smile on my face. "Look, Uncle Thor! I'm doing it!"

"Yes, Man of Spiders is worthy!" Thor says.

I put it down and look over at the rest of the group.

"Is this one of those illusion things?" Tony asked, slightly joking.

"No, it wasn't." I say, a giddy smile still on my face.

Thor picked up his hammer and rested it on his shoulder.

"Man of Spiders is deemed a bit worthy. It's better than all of you." Thor said with a slight grin.

"Take that!" I say, crossing my arms and plastering a proud smile on my face.
