Read the title.
Okay so idk what I'm doing with this one. I guess uh. Meeting the Avengers as Peter Parker. This is basically a week before Homecoming I guess. So here you go, enjoy.
I literally just made that up as I was writing the chapter name hello-
----------
(Third Person)
Peter walked down the steps of Midtown and onto school campus where he found Tony Stark waiting for him in a regular looking car - or as close as it can get to a normal looking car, especially if you're a billionaire.
He smiled softly and got in the back seat.
"Hey, D- Mr. Stark, how come Happy isn't here to pick me up?" Peter says, catching himself from embarrassment.
Peter could have sworn he smiled for a split second before saying, "You're meeting the rest of the team, kid." Peter's eyes widen slightly.
"O-Oh, uh, well. I'm not really uh- uhm ready to-" Peter gets cut off by Tony.
"You'll do fine. Oh by the way, people might be fighting when you get in the door, so be careful about that with your sensory overload." Tony informs.
"Y-Yeah. Yeah okay." Peter agrees. He pulls out his earbuds and plugs them into his phone and then puts them in his ear and listens to music.
(~Timeskip to the Avengers Tower~)
Peter had fallen asleep listening to music. He had his head against the window and his arm closest to the window resting on the little... holder things inside the car (not cup holders. You know what I mean).
Tony got out of the car and looked at the peaceful sleeping Peter. He cleared his throat loud enough so that Peter could hear.
Peter jumped and woke up. "Oh, sorry Mr. Stark." He quickly apologized. He packed his things in his school bag and put his phone in his pocket. He got out of the car, slinging his bookbag over his shoulder.
He awkwardly followed Tony into the tower and to the living room he for some reason suggested that they put in. If turned out to be a nice suggestion.
And thanks to Parker Luck, the Avengers were fighting over God knows what.
(Peter's POV)
I saw all of the Avengers in a fight in the living room. So much for first impressions. I mean, don't get me wrong, they're still awesome, but I'd rather- okay yeah this is getting unbearable I need to stop this.
But all I can say is; "Hello..."
I said it so quietly, but I guess they heard me.
"Who the hell are you?" Clint asks, taking another handful of popcorn. He was the only one who wasn't fighting.
"Language." Steve says, glaring at Clint for a few moments before turning back to me.
"I'm Peter Parker, it's so cool to finally meet you guys! Well, we've technically already met, but that's past the point. Well Thor and Bruce have no idea I exist and they're not here right now, so it's a shame I can't meet them now. But you guys are still really cool!" I ramble.
I realize that I rambled and blushed slightly, gripping my backpack strap tighter. "S-Sorry, I ramble sometimes. Bad habit."
(Natasha's POV)
This kid.
I don't know why, but this kid is adorable.
I've never seen a kid that looked so innocent.
The fluffy brown hair and big, chocolate brown eyes don't exactly help either.
"You said we've all met you before. I've never seen you nor your face." I say.
"Well, uh, remember the Civil War we had? You were on a team with Spider-Man, right?" He replies, loosening his grip on his backpack strap.
"Of course." I respond
"Well, uh. I'm Spider-Man."
"I FOUGHT A KID?" Steve almost yells.
The kid winces and covers his ears.
Tony pat him on the shoulder.
"What's up with him?" I ask.
"Sensory Overload. Loud noises hurt him and can send him into panic attacks so if you could not tell, that would be great." Tony says.
"Sensory what now?" Clint asks.
(Back to Peter's POV)
I slowly uncover my ears and blush a bit. Stupid! I can't act like this in front of the Avengers!
Tony seems to be explaining my sensory overload, so I just sit there silently and listen along, trying my best to keep paying attention even if I don't want to or need to.
Once he finishes, he looks back down at me, to which I look up at him.
"I think we better get going." Tony says to me.
"Oh, okay. Bye, everyone. It was awesome meeting you!" I say, quickly following Mr. Stark out of the room.
(~A few months later~)
I'm really sick. I feel like I've been hit in the head with Mjolnir 70 times.
I have a headache, my throat is sore, I'm really cold, I am coughing and sneezing a lot. It's not fun and I just wanna go back to not being sick.
I'm currently on the couch bundled in blankets with an ice pack on the top of my head and a cup of tea in my hands. Hot tea.
I look over at Natasha and smile at her as she passes by the door of the living room. She waves and smiles back.
I look back at the TV which is playing Star Wars - my favorite.
...
It's quiet. I don't like it.
The lights are dimmed and the whole Avengers Tower is on Code Overload because of me. Code Overload means that all of the lights in the whole building are dimmed and the people in it have to be extremely quiet. It also means that I'm the king of the place at the moment which is okay I guess. People fuss over me like I'm the most important person who'd ever lived.
Whatever, the attention is sort of nice.
I hear the door open and smile tiredly at Mr. Stark.
"Hey kid, how are you?" He asks in a soft voice.
"I'm" sniff "okay. I still feel like tr-" and have a small coughing fit before continuing; "-ash though."
"Do you want to be alo-"
"No, stay." I say. I look at him with puppy eyes and he immediately sits next to me.
I giggle. I look back at the movie and yawn. I close my eyes and fall onto something warm and fall asleep.
(Tony's POV)
The kid fell asleep on my shoulder. I look at him and just sit still. What do I do? I don't wanna wake him.
"Hey Ton- oh my god." And great. Natasha is here. "He looks so precious." She says, smiling slightly.
"Eh well. Kid defeats all of us with those puppy eyes of his." I respond.
"Don't you even bring his adorable little puppy eyes into this."
And that's how the Peter Parker Safety Squad was made (PPSS for short).
