So, I'm sure by now most of you have heard the news about Disney and Sony. If not, here's a quick run-down.
Sony and Marvel got into a fight resulting in Peter Parker now being in the hands of Sony. So basically, we don't have our beloved Spider-Man in the MCU anymore. It started with Disney wanting 50% of the profit from the Marvel movies. Sony flat out denied it. So, that's how the fight started to my knowledge.
You could say I'm more than pissed.
I cannot believe this. I have so many unanswered questions about it, too.
Spider-Man is no longer part of the MCU and that's my biggest concern. Because Spider-Man is so important now and he's in way too deep at this point. He has been part of so many movies so far. Homecoming, Infinity War, Endgame, and Far From Home. That's four movies. FOUR. MOVIES.
And on another note, (spoilers for far from home, skip to next paragraph if you haven't seen it) how are they gonna play out the cliffhanger on FFH? They can't just say "oh he went into hiding I guess" because that's not the most satisfying conclusion. You can't just do that, I mean seriously. Sony should have waited until the last Spider-Man movie came out and then you could take him. Because fans after the whole Quentin Beck revealing Peter's identity, you can't just... keep the cliffhanger there and never do anything about it.
But y'know, I'm sorry for the cursing, but Sony and Disney need to get their shit together and learn to negotiate properly. They need to fix this problem before things get out of hand. And I mean it. This is no joke to me. They really need to step up and do something about all of this.
Thanks for listening and a new part will be out soon in this book. I just needed to talk about this because it's gonna be driving me crazy for a while now. So, enjoy your day/night wherever you are.
Bye, I guess.
(Note: I meant 5 movies. Sorry)
