(Third Person POV)

Peter walked into the compound, greeting his Uncle Steve and walking to the lab where Tony was in. He walked up the stairs to the hallway and down to lab 2b. Bruce took over lab 2a for today, so they comprised for the closest thing.

They decided not to take the labs on the first floor because the ones on the second floor were bigger. Plus, most of the items Tony used in the labs were on the second floor, so it was only the smart idea. Also, Peter liked the walk to the second floor anyway.

Once Peter arrived at the lab, he opened the door and walks in, shutting it behind himself. "Hey, Dad, what's up?"

Tony looks up. "Doing fine. Come on over, kiddo."

Peter walks over, putting his bag he had slung over his shoulder down next to the door. He grabs the science goggles from one of the tables, putting them on. He stops next to Tony, looking at the liquid in the beaker.

"What's this?" Peter asks, picking it up. He twists it around in his fingers, examining it.

Tony looks over at it. "It's a sort of liquid that can change the form of a human. I just have to figure out what it changes someone into, though."

"Like the super soldier serum?" Peter says, looking at Tony

"I guess you could put it that way," Tony says, turning to write something down on some paper beside him.

"Cool! Can I be the test subject?" Peter asks, putting the beaker down and smiling up at Tony, a childish gleam in his eyes.

"Absolutely not," Tony says, picking up the beaker and putting it as far away from Peter as possible. Just in case he tried anything.

Peter's smile faded a bit. "How come?"

"Just because it could possibly change you into something 'cool' doesn't mean that it will. It might just change you into an eight-year-old for all I know." Tony responds, half-joking.

"Dad! Please?" Peter asks, pouting.

"No, I will not fall for that again," Tony responds.

"Oh come on, it can't be that bad!" Peter said, not giving up whatsoever.

"Pete, I'm not letting you try it," Tony says.

"C'mon, man. You gotta make someone try it anyway, so why not let it be me?" Peter asks, trying one last time to convince Tony to let him try the liquid.

Tony stares down at the kid for a few seconds before sighing. "Fine. But in a few minutes, I just have to make sure everything is fine and not harmful for you."

"Yes!" Peter says quietly.

As Tony was making sure everything was okay, Peter was badgering him with questions. Tony answered every single one, taking extra precaution to make sure he knew the answers Peter threw at him. If he didn’t know the answer, he’d quickly write down and do some equations to make sure he knew every one of them.

“Okay, one last question,” Peter says, picking up the beaker.

“Throw it at me,” Tony says, putting his hands on his hips.

“How long am I gonna stay in the form?”

“The max is 24 hours. The minimum is 8 hours.” Tony answers.

“Oh okay. Well, I’ll be back after I drink this.” Peter says, taking the beaker with him out of the lab. He walked to one of the bathrooms, closing and locking the door behind him.

It had been a few minutes since Peter was gone, and Tony was getting worried. He crossed his arms and tapped his foot, looking down at his watch. This seemed to be a habit of his when he was worried about Peter or anyone for that matter. Once Tony had been tired of waiting, he decided to go and find him. He assumed Peter had gone to one of the bathrooms because he wouldn’t have gone downstairs or to another lab just to drink something that Tony gave him.
