(Peter's POV) (Italics is the dream)

I'm standing in the middle of Titan watching as ashes fly past my face as I hear people say different things as they fade into nothing.

...did we lose?

This can't be happening, this really can't be....

Oh no no no no this can't be happening.

I suddenly feel pain everywhere in my body. Everything hurts. And it's getting worse by the second. Is what happened to everyone else gonna happen to me?

I look at my hands. They're fading. I widen my eyes and look up.

"Mr. Stark... I-I don't feel so good." I walk towards him quickly. What's happening to me!? He turns around and I see his eyes go wide too.

"I don't know what's happening!" I say, falling into Tony's arms. I grasp onto him for dear life. It hurts. It's hard to breath. I feel like my whole body just stopped working.

"I don't wanna go, I don't wanna go!" I plead, tears stinging my eyes as my hands fade into nothingness. I feel myself being ripped apart atom by atom. Ash by ash. It hurts so bad. I'm scared. This is the end... this is how I die.

As my hands fade, so does my grasp... and my legs.

I am in so much pain... I can barely breath... I have so much to say. So much to see... but all I can say is...

"I'm sorry."

I jerk awake in a cold sweat, sitting up  and breathing heavily. I look around to make sure I'm not anywhere that's unfamiliar. Once I assure myself I'm okay I sigh and lay back down on my pillow.

Aunt May won't be up at this time so I would like to assume Mr. Stark is up.

I kind of wanna wanna see his face anyway. And if he's asleep I'll just feel a little bad... just a little. He'll understand though.

Well, hopefully. You can never be too sure.

Anyway, I turn my lamp on and grab my phone from the floor on the side of the bed. I then turn it on and FaceTime Mr. Stark.

After just a few rings, he picks up.

"Hey kid, why are you up at this time?" He asks, propping the phone up on something in the lab. I prop mine up against the wall.

"Well, I had another nightmare and I kinda missed hanging out with you. Sp I called you since all of my friends and Aunt May is asleep." I say, rubbing the back of my neck.

He looks at the camera on his phone and says, "Tell me everything."

I smirk slightly. "Okay, dad."

He smirks back. "Any time now, son."

I smile and start telling him about my nightmare. Both of our smiles fade and turn into frowns.

There's a few moments of silence before Mr. Stark starts talking.

"How long have you been having these nightmares, Pete?"

I stop to think about it then answer with "Well it kinda started 2 weeks ago. That's why I've been calling you so often."

"Kid, you can just ask Aunt May if you could stay over for a weekend. Unless I am on a mission or doing something important, of course. You can come tomorrow if you really want." He says, going back to whatever he was doing in the lab.

I smile a bit and lay down on my pillow, picking up my phone with it. "That'd be nice. Anyway, off topic but did you really mean it when you said the word 'son' earlier?"

He looked at the camera and at my eyes. "Did you mean it earlier when you said 'dad'?"

I hesitate before saying, "I've always thought of you as a weird superhero father figure. Ever since you decided to become my mentor after the Civil War, I looked up to you. You're my idol and kind of like the father I never had."

I cringe and say, "Sorry, that was really weird, uh-" but I get cut off.

"You're like a son to me. You're a good kid and I think you're the only one that makes me happy." He says, going back to what he was doing once again.

I smile and say, "Do I have permission to call you dad? It's fine if I do-"

"You have full permission. I'm surprised you had to ask." He says, having a visible smirk on his face.

I smile like a little kid on Christmas day.

This is basically another sleep-deprived fluff. And I was sad so I decided to write this. Don't worry, I'm okay now. Anyway, I'll see you tomorrow.
