That day in the morning Tiffany was at the shop cleaning the kitchen to start making cakes .. when Maggie entered soaked in thoughts ..
" Are you okay ? You seem confused " Tiff asked.
" I'm fine I was just thinking about Scarlet .. you know her .. right ? She seems to be distant lately .. I mean I'm happy to see her happy yesterday.. but she didn't bother to tell me about it ! "
Tiffany washed her hands and sat closer to Maggie ..
" Maybe she knows that you won't feel comfortable knowing the reason why she's happy "
Maggie got more confused standing up " what are you saying ! I will be happy for anything that makes her that happy "
" Even if I told you that we're getting married ? " Tiffany dropped those words and stayed calm..
" Who are getting married ? .."
Maggie stood there confused ..
" You fucked with my daughter's mind.. she would never do that .." Maggie said furiously taking her bag hurrying out of the shop..
" Maggie wait ! " Tiffany ran after her and stood by the door ..
" What ? " Maggie stood there looking Tiffany in the eye..
" I promised her to talk to you cause she cares about you so much .. maybe she doesn't show it .. but she does .. I'm not asking you to discuss what you believe in but you must know that I will never love anyone more than I loved Scarlet .. she showed me life with her smile .. please let her be happy truly for once"
Maggie stayed quiet looking at Tiff .. seemed to be thinking .. " I need to talk to my daughter .. family talk ! "
Maggie stayed at home till Scarlet got back ..
" You're getting married without telling me ? What were you thinking ? Calling me from Tiffany's house to tell me " " oh my God why are you punishing me ?"
"don't think that you own me .. cause you don't , mum !"
" I just want the best for you .. I want you to be happy "
" And Tiffany will make me happy mum .. there is so much you don't know .. stop acting like you know everything I'm an adult now and I shouldn't.... "
"You shouldn't be living with me .. right ? "
Scarlet kept silent for a couple of moments feeling words come out of her mouth without thinking ..
" Mum , I didn't mean what you thought.. "
" Scarlet .. though it's tough for me thinking that I'd live alone .. but I'm not letting you be so reckless.. loving another woman is a sin .. I love you and I'm worried about you.. "
" That's what you always tell me .. mum .. did you forget..you always said you can't wait to see me in love with someone after Adam died.. "

Maggie said nothing and never look in Scarlet's eyes. .
