Ch.6 Revived

It's been 5 months since Adam's death .. Scarlet was getting more and more silent since then.. Her mum got worried but scarlet didn't want help from anyone and she kept saying " I'm fine .." 

It's June now .. and school is over but Scarlet kept doing paperwork at school everyday She used to keep herself busy that every time Val calls her to go out she says she's busy .. It's obvious that she Is Not Fine !

Val knocked on the door .. Maggie -Scarlet's mum- opened .. "Hello, Mrs. Maggie .. Is Scarlet here ?"

"Sure , Val .. to be honest I'm getting more worried about her lately but she doesn't seem to open up.. I'm sure you can do something, right ? " Maggie asked.

"That's why I'm here actually ..I really care about her " Val responded.

Val went upstairs to see Scarlet writes on her computer .. Val knew immediately Scarlet's working.. Val unplugged the computer and that's before scarlet stared at her shocked ..

"Hey ! What are you doing ? I didn't save that .. " Scarlet yelled.

" You've been working nonstop for months now .. take a breath, girl" Val said.

"but it's important .." Scarlet said.

"You're more important " Val pointed to Scarlet's heart.

Scarlet calmed down for a second .. " What about me .. I don't get it ? " 

" Don't you get it ? you've been distant from everybody since Adam's death.. and apparently you didn't get over it .. you've been drowning in work ..everyone around's helping you move on but I'm sorry for saying this but you're not making any progress.. don't get me wrong, I completely understand but you must care about who cares about you and stop tutoring your heart ! " Val said looking in Scarlet's brown eyes deeply..

"I used to care about people when they need help but I'm not used to getting help .. Who cares about me ? " Scarlet wondered as she started to cry..

"everyone .. and especially someone like me ! " Val held Scarlet's hand in hers staring at her eyes and travel to Scarlet's lips .. Val leaned in and kissed Scarlet who kept quiet at first but kissed Val back in seconds.. 

Scarlet pulled back feeling confused towards Val who said " I've been waiting for years to kiss you since we were in high school .. It was worth waiting" 

Scarlet smiled but didn't say a word keeping the eye contact with Val .. 5 months ago she was drowning in her grief and now she's drowning in her thoughts about Val .. She replayed every memory for them together "her and Val " .. Val noticed what she's been thinking and said " When I first saw you I fell for your smile .. how genuine and pure.. we were almost talking then .. and after a year I found out that you were seeing someone who was Adam .. I'm sorry for bringing it back but .. "

 Scarlet interrupted Val to say "he was such a precious friend , I wish he's still here "

Val kept quiet for a minute feeling awkward before Scarlet kissed her deeply this time .. Val caught her breath giggling of joy.. " well , at least you're not crying anymore "

Scarlet's eyelids were getting heavy and Val stayed over to make sure Scarlet gets enough sleep that night .. she felt responsible from now on ..once Scarlet leaned her head to rest on Val's shoulder .. she felt so proud like a dream came true .. 

Scarlet woke up to the sunlight .. she opened her eyes and looked around .. she was alone .. She said to herself " It was just a dream ,huh ! " half smiling feeling sorry for the dream to end .. 

Val got out of the bathroom to hug Scarlet from behind .. Scarlet turned around shocked ..

" Calm down ..It's just me" Val said quickly holding Scarlet in her arms.

" I thought yesterday was just a dream .. wait .. you stayed all night !? it's 10 .. don't you have work today .. I don't want to make you late for your .... " Scarlet said starting to worry.

Val pressed a kiss on Scarlet's mouth to make her stop talking and Scarlet calmed down to look in Val's eyes .. " I called the journal and took today off .. don't worry .. I thought we can make today a bit very different than yesterday for you .. and BTW , you sleep like an angle . don't worry you didn't snore.. hehe " 

Scarlet punched Val's shoulder playfully and teased her .. " I don't snore, my friend "

Val got teased " okay my friend and if you don't mind I'm going to end this shit " Val held her tight and kissed her passionately .. Scarlet pulled back breathless and said " okay I give up , we're not friends .. happy now ?! " 

" more than happy ! now take a shower and let's get you out of your shell .." Val said.
