Ch.11 Anywhere But Home

"I've never wished being with anyone but you .. you're the girl of my dreams Scarlet " Adam said from a distance when Scarlet replied " I'm happy to see your eyes again Adam .. I missed you .. I'm so sorry I've failed you , I'll never forgive myself.. " 

" Don't say that ..no matter how far we are , I'll always love you my old friend just don't be hard on yourself you deserve love Scarlet , you deserve true love .. Farewell " Adam said before his shadow faded away when Scarlet went " no, no , not again .. Adam " Scarlet screamed loudly before she woke up sweating looking around the room.. She realized it was just a dream .. she was scared cause it was the same feeling when Adam died .. Scarlet felt silent tears on her cheeks then she took a deep breath " it's just a dream , I gotta sleep " she calmed herself.

Next morning , Scarlet opened her eyes with an idea .. she needs to go away for 2 days maybe .. she didn't want anyone. she wanted to go alone .. but she didn't know where at first ... she thought of going to the beach and rent a small chalet.. she went downstairs to find her mum ..  "Good morning Scarlet ..you're up early .. what're you looking for ? I may help you ! " Maggie said curiously.

"I'm taking some things because I'm going on a vacation for two days at most .. " Scarlet said. "Alone ?! .. you didn't use to love being alone .. " Maggie looked worried.

" Don't worry mum .. I'll be alright .. I just need sometime to rethink too many things before I go back to work .. " Scarlet said and felt permitted to go when she saw her mum nodding.. she felt like a kid going on a school trip waiting for her mother's approval .. she smiled for this feeling .. she loved  Maggie like they're best friends. she knows everything about Scarlet except liking girls .. Scarlet felt much more pressured when she couldn't tell her mum about it when Val broke up with her .. Scarlet knew Maggie won't be the same if she knew so, she decided to keep it from Maggie.. 

While she was packing and getting her bags to the car she found Tiffany on the other side of the road with Alex .. she was holding his hand while buying him sweets .. and as soon as she got out of the shop she noticed Scarlet on the other side .. Tiffany crossed the road to say " Oh! you're packing .. going somewhere with a friend ?! .. " 

" I'm taking a chalet by the sea but I'm going on my own .. " Scarlet said.  "well .. will you feel comfortable without company ? I'm worried about you " Tiffany said before taking Scarlet's hand in hers .. Scarlet felt something pushing her close to Tiffany , something forced her to forget everything around when she saw the look in Tiff's eyes .. It's like she owns her completely not letting her see anything or anyone else .. till Scarlet's phone rang .. she didn't look who it was but she said " It won't be long only 2 days .. you have my number right ?? you can call me anytime .. I'll be happy to hear you're voice .. " 

" I'll wait for you .. " Tiffany said before Scarlet started the engine and went away .. away from her loneliness , away from her sadness and from her dark thoughts ,, she needed a break.

As soon as she reached the chalet .. she took the keys from the office and she unlocked the door and started to unpack to get ready to swim in the sea.. she checked  the time but when she looked at her phone she found 4 missed calls from Valeria.. Scarlet sighed .. she didn't want those feeling to chase her here too .. she went swimming instead..

She enjoyed the sun stroking her skin gently while she was swimming .. like every thought faded away for a while ..before the sunset she went back to the chalet to get dressed .. there was no restaurants there so, she decided to prepare dinner on her own .. It was awful .. She wished Maggie was there .. Though the horrible food but scarlet was happy for the first time in months. 

" I'm sleeping ,What's wrong .. Valeria ? " It was 11 when Val called again to say " I'm sorry , I knew you don't sleep in this hour,  I wanted to see you actually but Maggie told me you're not here she was tough and she said you wanted to be alone  .. where are you ? " 

" Don't worry about it .. I'm okay if you're wondering " Scarlet said coldly.

" Scarlet... I know you're still mad at me . that's why I wanted to see you actually .. I care about you , a lot .. and to be honest ,I miss my friend and I want her back " Valeria said before she goes quiet.

" I'll be home on Tuesday .. I need some time , goodbye Valeria " Scarlet said before they both go quiet again .. till she heard Val " Goodbye"

Scarlet woke up not wanting to think of anything or anyone back there , she needed a space , time for herself.. so she went on a boat trip for the whole day .. She was scared of snorkeling at first but water felt so nice when she shut off her thoughts ..

" You don't have to be scared to see underwater .. feel the joy of new experiences. It may be the only chance to enjoy it ." A black eyes guy said so before diving underwater .. 

" You're a poet or something ..  I'm sorry I didn't know your name " Scarlet asked the man after they got back on the boat.. " I'm Winn , and you're .. " 

" Scarlet .. you're here with your girlfriend?" 

" My wife .. the love of my life .. who are you here with ? " 

" no one actually , I'm on a vacation on my own .. some kinda therapy .. " Scarlet laughed.

Winn waved for a woman " Sandra, Scarlet .. " 

" hope you're enjoying your vacation , Scarlet "

" I sure am .. thanks " Scarlet felt new for getting to know new people.. she missed that feeling.

When Scarlet got off the boat , Sandra said " we're having a party in an hour at our chalet if you wanna come , It will be fun "

" Sure , I'll be there at 7.. thanks for inviting me " Scarlet said and went back to eat canned food she didn't want to eat horrible food again .. she wore a tropical colored dress and knocked on Winn's door to see dozens of people dancing .. It's quiet a big party .. she expected a small one with two glasses of wine . 

" There you are .. enjoy your time .. " Winn said when he showed up with Sandra with a glass in his hand.. 

Scarlet danced but unlike the last time at the night club .. She was miserable then but now she's happy .. She tried a new cocktail drink which tasted sour but good .. she decided to get back before she gets more drunk .. 

When she unlocked the door , it was 2 in the morning .. she saw a text message from Tiffany " I know you're asleep , but I wanted to make sure you're okay, call me when you see this message !" 

Scarlet couldn't fight the urge to call Tiffany so she dialed her number " Hey , I'm not asleep yet .. How's Maggie and everything ? " Scarlet said trying to keep awake but she opened her eyes when she heard Tiffany says "I missed you .. I couldn't sleep, I wanted to hear your voice though I know It's late but I ... " 

" I missed you too to be honest .. I want to see you and tell you every thing I saw and everyone I knew .. I want to ..  anyways .. I'm glad you called as you promised .."

Tiffany laughed a little " I didn't want to call on day one, I didn't want to annoy you .. I know you needed space .. when are you coming home ? " 

" Tomorrow night .. " Scarlet said.

" I can't wait to see you again .. stay safe , okay ? " 

" Okay , you too . umm Good night ! " Scarlet didn't know what to say but she begged the call to never end but she was too exhausted and sleepy already ..

" Good night .. Love ! " Tiffany said leaving Scarlet shocked and happy in the same time .. but wait a minute, " she didn't mean it .. she must said that casually .. I must have a crush on her .. but I don't want to have expectations anymore .. I shouldn't even think about it ..
