Ch. 18 Let Go

The day before the wedding.. Scarlet came back home to talk to Maggie ..
" Won't I be able to be happy for once, mum ?"
" Won't you be happy marrying the woman you love .. what will you be worried about? " Maggie said hiding her face ..
" You, mum .. I'll be worried about not having you by my side in such an important day ? " " I want you to be happy for me even if you faked a smile .. I don't want to lose you, I already lost dad .. " Scarlet cied waiting for Maggie to respond.. but Maggie kept quiet..
Scarlet hurried upstairs to her room to take her stuff wiping her tears .. and when she went down .. Maggie was still looking at the window not saying anything or looking at Scarlet who left a closed envelope..
" Here is your invitation.. mum. And no matter what you think of me .. I'll never forget how I used to see you as my hero .. and I'll still love you .. bye mum "
Scarlet closed the door after her feeling like she couldn't breath.. and when she arrived to Tiffany's house .. she wiped her tears trying to breath looking at the mirror to make sure she looks fine .. and she told herself" everything's fine " like she was trying to convince herself that she's okay..
Tiffany was talking on the phone but when she saw Scarlet .. " sure .. okay.. okay .. I'll talk to you later.. okay !" And she hung up quickly running to Scarlet who hugged her immediately burying her face in Tiff's shoulder crying her heart out ..
" Love, are you alright ? What's wrong ?"

" Mum won't come to my wedding, I'm afraid I'm losing everyone I love .. First Adam, and then Val and now I'm losing mum .. I'm scared of losing you .. "

Tiffany hugged her tightly trying to calm her down.. " Shhhh .. Love .. what are you saying .. tomorrow is our wedding and I know you're nervous .. calm down you didn't lose .. We all love you , Maggie, Alex and specially me .. I'll never let you go.. you have no idea how excited Alex was when I told him about our marriage.. he was so happy that you will live with us .. and I'll make sure Maggie will be there .. don't worry about anything, Love "
Scarlet smiled with a red face .. pulling back to look in Tiff's eyes " I don't know what I would do without you in my life.. I know I always say that but ... I'm out of words .. but all I can say is that I'm so in love with you.."
Tiffany kissed Scarlet on her forehead to make her feel safe and appreciated.. " I love you too baby,now .. go take a shower I'll make a phone call to discuss something and I'll be back .. "
" Alright .. " Scarlet said ..
" Scarleeeet .. come to see the suit mum bought me for tomorrow.. and then we will play Monopoly together"
" I'm sure mum has a good taste.. come .. let's see it ,Alex"
Alex and Scarlet kept playing for an hour ..Tiffany joined them .. they ordered food and drinks .. like a happy family.. Tiffany looked at Scarlet while she was laughing and felt so happy and so scared in the same time ..the more she loved Scarlet the more she felt scared of losing that precious love .. and when it was time for bed .. Scarlet read Alex a story to go back to Tiffany who was in the bed checking her emails .. Scarlet approached her slowly getting close to touch her arm softly ..
" Scarlet .." Tiffany whispered her name while she was leaning towards Scarlet's lips..
" Mhmm !" Scarlet replied feeling fragile under Tiff's touch ..
Tiffany caught Scarlet's lips in a soft kiss which was followed by a deeper one .. till she was feeling every inch of her skin, appreciating her beauty .. Feeling weak and strong in the same time ..  feeling her trembling when she felt Tiff's touch ..
" Babe .. tell me what you want !" Tiffany said while spreading kisses on Scarlet's neck ..
" Y-o-u .." Scarlet said with raspy voice..
" What ? I didn't hear you .. Love" Tiffany asked while testing her ..
" Ohhh, Tiff.. stop teasing me .. I want you.. "
" And I wouldn't want anything but you .. " Tiffany said ..
Scarlet slept in Tiff's arms thinking about how happy her life will be starting from tomorrow.

Next morning, Tiffany woke up and smiled when she felt Scarlet's breath on her neck .. Tiff looked at her while she was sleeping .. touching her face and kissed her cheek ..
" Will every morning be as good as today ? I'll get used to it " Scarlet said opening her eyes slowly..
" I'll make sure you will " Tiffany kissed Scarlet softly and got up ..
" Who were you talking to yesterday when I got home .. you looked serious talking to them.. ?" Scarlet asked while getting up ..
" I didn't want to bother you but I was talking to Ralph to get me two men to secure the wedding party today .. I don't want anything or anyone to ruin this day .. "
"I don't get it .. why will we need gaurds ? Tiffany tell me what's wrong! "
" Mat has escaped the prison and I have to make sure he doesn't try to hurt anyone.. I swear there's nothing wrong, I love you and I want you and Alex to be safe as much as I can , okay ! Now let's get ready for the most important day in my life "

Scarlet was wearing her wedding dress feeling nervous .. when she saw the door opened and Val getting in ..
Scarlet felt weird but she was deeply happy to see her best friend being there for her in such a special day..
" Val stood behind her looking at Scarlet through the mirror .. " you're better than me .. even braver .. Scarlet .. I'm happy for you my best friend .. "
Scarlet turned around to hug her friend ..
" I don't need an invitation to attend my best friend's wedding.. do I ? "
Scarlet laughed and punched Val's shoulder playfully like she used to do when Val says anything silly..
The door knocked and nobody came yet it was still 4 pm .. Scarlet looked at Val who opened the door to see Tiffany getting in looking so beautiful in her dress .. Scarlet gasped when she saw her .. " Oh my God ! You look so... So ... "
Scarlet felt out of words when she saw Tiffany so Val decided to help..
" Beautiful .. she wants to say beautiful but as you know my friend is clumsy and loves you so much .. Tiffany please, appreciate her love which I didn't appreciate.. I'm so happy for you two .. mmm.. okay I'll wait outside ! "
Val got out before Tiffany said : " I couldn't think of a better surprise .. " and she opened the door to let Maggie show up ..
"Mum ! " Scarlet ran to her mum to hug her " I'm so happy you're here .. how ... ? "
" Your fiance called me after you left yesterday .. and she told me about everything .. Scarlet .. I'm happy to see you happy and I'm proud of you ! "
Scarlet felt tears dancing in her eyes ..
" No no no , darling.. you have to stay pretty .. it's your wedding party.. "
" I wish dad was here ! "
" He is, honey .. his soul was and will be around all the time and I'm pretty sure he's happy for you too .. "

After the vows .. Scarlet felt like her life can't be better .. everything is getting better and better .. she said to her self .. " what could go wrong ? "
She was talking to Val and her friends .. and her eyes met Tiffany's eyes and while she was walking to her .. she heard noise and saw one of the gaurds fall down after hearing a shot ..
Everyone screamed and she saw Tiffany running towards her .. but Scarlet fell down before Tiffany could reach her ..
Shiny river .. cold grass blue skies .. Tiffany's blond hair and blue eyes were all she saw before Tiffany's hand touched hers .. " Scarlet .. baby .. answer me .. Scarlet .. Scarlet .. answer me .. love .. don't leave me ,Love .. please .. somebody help !.. no no .. Scarlet, stay with me .. we have so many years to live together .."

" you were always the woman from another century whom I fell in love with.. " Scarlet said holding Tiff's hand tightly before her hand let go ..
