Ch.14 No Turning Back

"so, Alex..  What do you want us to do until mum gets back? "  Scarlet said as she was taking her shoes off after they got home..
" I want to watch cartoon..  What about BenTen?" Alex said in excitement..
"okay Alex but imma make some popcorn" 
"yaaay!" Alex got into the living room.. And Scarlet headed to the kitchen..  He phone rang
" Hey,  mum..  I'm home with Alex..  Yes, our neighbor Tiffany asked me to leave him here till she's back..  We're kind of friends now.. Alright..  Bye"
The door knocked and Scarlet opened it to face Valeria who stood still quiet staring at Scarlet who said while going back to the kitchen..  " Come in Val! I'm making popcorn..  Do you want something to dri... " Scarlet stopped talking when Val got very close to her and embraced her " Did you miss me? " Val said playfully..
Scarlet's knees went weak to this closeness and felt she has something she missed a lot finally when suddenly she pushed Val's hands down leaving her to take something from the counter.. 
" I only miss my old friend, Val! I'm not your type and you're not ready for anything and I guess we're not meant to be together.. I'm sorry! "
I didn't say anything about being together..  and you know this better than anyone else, Scarlet I'm not a fan of relationships.. Maybe we can have fun plus staying friends.. I want this!  " Val said as she leaned in for a kiss but Scarlet yelled,
" What about me?  haven't you ever thought of what I might want..  you want to have fun but I want love.. You may have everything Val but you missed the ability to love..  "
" I love you, Scarlet. but You have to understand..  "
" Don't dare to say it unless you mean it but you loved having me around all the time.. You felt jealous for the idea of me being with somebody else,  you only love yourself..  "
scarlet said as she was putting the plates angrily..
Val stayed silent not saying another word.. 
" We're watching TV. Val..  come to say hi to Alex and watch TV like real friends " Scalet said leaving the kitchen leading Val who sat on the sofa.. 
" Alex, would you mind if we watched a movie or something.. ? " Val said trying to get over the embarrassment she felt inside..
" Okay,  depends on the movie " Alex said.
After they watched the first movie Alex felt bored..  But Scarlet got him quickly and said " okay guys,  who wants pizza?  "
"I want pizzaaaa " Scarlet ordered pizza and played the second movie.. 
After the third movie it was 7 already and Alex slept on the couch..  " Oh! I'm taking him to the bed..  5 minutes..  I won't be long.. "
Scarlet carried Alex upstairs and Val waited for her watching random videos on her phone..  until she heard someone parking their car in front of the house..  the door knocked and Val opened smiling to the stranger out there..  But when Tiffany saw her, she felt angry but Val didn't know why..
Tiffany got into the house " where's Scarlet?  "
" Who are you? " Val said feeling furious.
"you're here for hours but it seems that Scarlet must forgot to tell you,  I'm Tiffany, Scarlet's girlfriend.." Tiffany said feeling victory seeing Val's face change when she heard those little words.
" you know what!? You're right!  Tell Scarlet I had to go..  and I'll call her " Val said and left the house..
Scarlet ran downstairs to the sound to find Tiffany.. " Where's Val?  Is she gone?  "
" I don't know she said she has to go and left quickly.. She didn't seem happy when she knew who I am"
" I'm sorry,  honey..  She must've got panicked to know we're together..  I didn't tell her before actually! "
" It was obvious, but I don't care about it now..  Did she try to talk to you?! "
" about what,  Tiff? "
" you know what I mean, Scarlet! " Tiffany said yelling.. 
Scarlet said slowly " yes!  She did.. But I told her that I don't want to be with her..  babe, I love you,  and I want you to trust me! " Scarlet said holding Tiffany's hand pulling her closer..
" I trust you..  But I don't trust her!  " and as soon as Tiffany said those words the front door opened..  It was Maggie..
Scarlet pulled away from Tiffany's arms " well, I.. I am going to make some tea.. Alex is sleeping upstairs.. "
Maggie seemed like she was distracted talking to Randa on the phone as she was taking off her shoes! 
" Oh! Hello Tiffany,  I didn't expect you here..! "
" Yea! Umm.. I left Alex with Scarlet till I finished work and I came back here to take him home.. "
" Sure you're welcome anytime..  Tiffany " Maggie said as Scarlet came with tea..
" Drink your tea first!  " Scarlet said smiling to Tiff who seemed serious for a moment.. " there's a pride march tomorrow so what about making rainbow cakes as a special edition for tomorrow?  "
" good idea.." Maggie replied in brief but didn't seem happy about it!
After a minute of awkward silence " okay I'm going home..  scarlet would you please help me carry Alex to the car please?!  "
" Sure! " Scarlet said.
When Scarlet put Alex in the car..  tiffany said " come to the shop tomorrow at 2 pm..  I'm making you a surprise.. Alright? "
" I want to kiss you so bad right now " Scarlet said as she was holding Tiffany's hands and her eyes traveled from tiff's eyes to her lips..
" let's see what will happen tomorrow..  Shall we?!  " Tiffany said hugging Scarlet so tight.. 
" I'll see you tomorrow then " Scarlet said when she seemed convinced.
