Just Talking

"Spiderman!" I yelled walking out of the restaurant.

"June?" I saw Peter almost fall off of a fire escape.

"Yeah. Can we talk?" I looked up to where he was perched.

Peter jumped from the fire escape and landed next to me, "Yeah. Where do you wanna talk at?"

"Up there if possible," I pointed up to the rooftop of the building Peter was just on.

"Really? Have you ever been up that high?" Peter looked up towards the rooftop.

"Yeah. I've been on a plane before," I said with a smirk.

"Alright," Peter put his hand around my waist, "Hold on to me."

I wrapped my arms around Peter's neck just before he shot a web up to the rooftop. I dug my face under his jaw as we flew upwards. Peter set me down gently, but my legs were so shaky I fell onto him.

"Sorry," I moved my head up and our noses touched. 

'Peter this is the time.'

"Karen shut up!" Peter mumbled.

"What was that?"

"It was just Karen. My suit's AI," Peter moved his hand from my arm to take his mask off, "Now she can't talk."

His hair is really cute when it's tousled. 

"June? You wanted to come up here to talk right?"

"Talk. Yeah, talk," I leaned closer to Peter, "How about we do something other than talking?"

"Y-you mean like swing around the city or..." I looked down at Peter's lips, "Oh."

Peter's ears turned red. He looked from my lips, to my eyes, back to my lips, "June... I don't-"

I took a step away from Peter, "I don't wanna pressure you into anything Peter."

Peter grabbed my arms, "June I really like you. You know that, and y-you like me too...right?" I shook my head, "Ok, so you have to understand that it's not that I don't want to kiss you, it's just that the last time that you showed attraction towards me I got hurt. It's not that I'm scared of you or anything, it's just that I didn't really know it was you, until you pulled away."

"Oh," I breathed out.

Peter cupped my face in his hands,  slowly leaning towards me.

I took everything in, every little detail as he leaned in to kiss me. The way his hair was slightly blowing in the wind, the way his eyes seemed to glow in the moonlight, his freckles stood out even more in the moonlight, and his lips looked so soft.

Soon enough his lips were on mine. The kiss was gentle like he was afraid he would break me, or maybe I would break him. His lips were slightly chapped too. Not as soft as I was expecting, but what can you do? It's only a once in a life time chance your crush likes you back right?

My arms curled around his neck as the kiss deepened.

"June!" I pulled away from Peter, my arms still around his neck.

"Y-yes?" I asked slightly out of breath.

"Get off that roof! I thought you were just talking!" I could feel my face burn at Steve's comment.

"Well we better get down there," I glanced at the ground before giving Peter a peck on the cheek, "Let's go Spidey."

Peter pulled his mask on as I wrapped my arms tighter around his neck and he wrapped his arm around my waist.

"Well this should be fun," I mumbled as Peter jumped off the roof.
