Y/N's POV:
One week has passed since the winter formal fiasco. I actually thoroughly enjoyed the experience. Even though Taehyung and I never danced with each other or had the experience we could've had, we both had more fun without the party!
I was currently on winter break. Today was the day right before Christmas Eve. At 10:35 at night, I was still wrapping gifts. The boys planned to spend Christmas Eve over at Jin's place. We would gather tomorrow at around 10 to spend time with each other. That way, they could spend Christmas with their family.
Jungkook wanted to spend time with Ji Woo tomorrow so he wasn't going to be attending our "get together," but he said that he'd drop by to give gifts on Christmas.
Truthfully, I was really disappointed that he wasn't going to be with us on Christmas Eve. But I understood why. They have been dating for almost 4 months now and this holiday is a really important day that couple's should spend together. He probably wouldn't be able to spend Christmas with her either because of his strict family, so I was happy that he could take her out tomorrow.
In total, I spent around $901.97 on gifts for them. It took a huge chunk out of my savings and allowance, but I was happy to give back to the members. I was able to get a part time job back in October, so I have the ability to help out my parents with living expenses.
"Done," I said happily, placing the last gift on the stack of presents near my desk.
I had gotten Namjoon a limited edition figurine, Jin a new set of cooking ware, Yoongi a neck pillow and headphones, Hoseok a speaker, Jimin the hoodie he always wanted, Taehyung two games, and of course, Jungkook, the couple rings.
Because Jungkook wasn't going to come over, I was going to hand him his gift early tomorrow morning. This way, I'd give him the present before he goes on his date with Ji Woo and I have plenty of time to head over to Jin's place.
"I'm exhausted," I sighed out, closing my eyes. Before I knew it, I had already dozed off.
Christmas Eve:
"Beep, beep, beep, beep."
Groaning, I shifted my weight onto my shoulder to turn off my bothersome alarm. "Is it morning already?" When my eyes fluttered open and landed on the presents, I instantly got out of my bed.
"It's Christmas Eve!" Watching the time, I quickly got ready. Because it was winter, the cold temperature had increased. The chance of getting a cold was extremely high, so I decided to wear a sweater and some black skinny jeans.
I didn't have a car, but the gifts weren't that heavy to carry, so I planned to walk to Jin's house. His home was quite close to Jungkook's house actually. 'I wonder if all rich people live in the same area.'
Packing the presents into shopping bags, I opened my front door and set off to Jungkook's place. I was skipping and humming the whole way there. I couldn't describe how happy I was in words. The feeling of gifting someone else something so special, and to see their happy reaction, it just fills you up inside.
Little did I know, I wouldn't be able to see the reaction I wanted today. It didn't take long before I reached his neighborhood. A couple more steps down the sidewalk and I was already facing his house.
I walked up the stone path and was about to ring the doorbell when someone stopped me.
"What are you doing here?" Ji Woo asked. Her painful grip on my wrist strengthened.
"I'm giving my Christmas gift to Jungkook. Is there something wrong with that?" I wasn't going to let her ruin my mood. No matter what, I was going to stay happy today. 'I didn't think she'd be here this early.'
"Yes there's something wrong with that!" She grabbed my shoulder and shoved me against the wall. My head hit the hard, textured brick. It was painful, but there wasn't any blood dripping down my forehead so I was fine.
"I keep warning you! Telling you to stay away from him! Why don't you listen?"
"I'm only giving him a Christmas gift! We're only friends! He wouldn't think of me like that!" Suddenly, I felt a stinging pain against my face, forcing me to drop the small bag I held in my hands. Ji Woo slapped me.
"You b*tch! Why don't you just go kill yourself? No one actually cares about you," she said. Then, she started pulling my hair.
"L-let go of me!" I tried prying her hands off, but her grasp on me was stronger. As she was pulling my hair, I could see footprints all over her dress. 'Is that a new trend?'
"You're ugly, dirty, worthless, and poor. Basically a street rat," she spat. I wanted to hit her and throw her off of me, but I couldn't. I couldn't hurt someone Jungkook cares about. I felt like my hair was going to get ripped off my head, but I didn't do anything to fight back.
"Why Jungkook is even friends with you, I'll never know!" She yanked my hair one last time before pulling away, a small ball of hair sitting in the palm of her hands. "You're nothing compared to me. Nothing. You're so ugly, I wouldn't know the difference between a trashcan and a picture of you."
Her words lowered the self esteem that I had tried so hard to build it up. With her heels, she stepped on my feet. I let out a yelp of pain.
"Why aren't you hitting me?" she asked angrily. After saying that, she shifted all of her weight onto her heels. The soles of her shoes digging into mine.
"B-because, I can't hurt someone Jungkook cares about!" At that moment, her eyes narrowed at me. With her feet still on mines, she took out her phone. 'What is she doing? Shouldn't she be happy that I'm not fighting back?'
It looked like she was typing something momentarily and then she slipped it back into her purse. "You're honestly so pathetic Y/N, I guess I'll have to do this the hard way." Her eyes seemed to twinkle with joy and she smirked at me.
'Was this not already the hard way?' The sound of Jungkook's front door opening was drowned out by Ji Woo's cries. She had grabbed my wrist and slapped herself in the face with my hand.
"What the f*ck are you doing Y/N?"
