Narrator P.O.V

Students from across all years, 1 to 3, stood in a circle surrounding Rani and the 3rd year. Class 1A stood together in one group, all staring between Rani and the male worriedly. Bakugou surprisingly was among them. Todoroki, who had come from somewhere turned to look at Midoriya, Iida, and Uraraka.

"Does anyone even know what her quirk is?" He asked. Midoriya shook his head, with his head down.

"I haven't seen her use any, neither have any of our classmates. Truthfully, I thought she was quirkless." Todoroki shook his head.

"I don't think that would be the case. She wouldn't have gotten in through recommendations if that were true." Uraraka turned to look at Todoroki and nodded.

"Yeah. I agree." Bakugou, who had been keeping out of conversations up until this point made a 'tch' sound and looked towards Rani.

He frankly couldn't believe what was happening. The girl he had bullied on her first day was now fighting to protect him, he didn't understand her reasons behind it, and frankly was slightly annoyed that he couldn't beat the fucker up, but overall he was neutral about the whole situation. His true feelings towards Rani and the situation would be shown when the results came through.

Rani stood in the middle of the circle smiling at her upperclassmen, the same smile she showed him before. It hadn't left her face since the hallway. From the corner of her eye, she spotted Todoroki, Midoriya, Iida, Uraraka, Momo, Kaminari, and Kirishima standing in a group together, with worried looks on their faces. She gave them a quick nod, trying to ensure them that everything would be alright before she turned to look at the male in front of her.

"So, let's set some ground rules first, shall we?" He nodded, anger and hatred clearly visible on his face. In the back of Rani"s mind, she even commented on how he looked like a villain.

"No one is to be fatally injured during this battle. Hurting a bystander counts as a loss, but in the case a bystander purposely gets hurt, it doesn't count. Quirks are allowed, and just to make sure everyone is on the same page, if I win, 3rd year here is to leave Bakugou alone." Rani was then cut off by the same angry male.

"And if **I** win, Bakugou is to be expelled from school." Rani nodded towards her upperclassmen, not arguing with anything that had been said. After a moment, she sighed and looked at him.

"You can make the first move if you wish."

If on cue, the upperclassmen ran towards Rani at incredible speed. The crowd watched in both shock and awe, all wondering the same thing. How was she going to get out of this? Just as he reached within less than a second from her, Rani sidestepped away from him. The crowd watched in shock as the first-year girl then grabbed his closest arm and threw him back to where he began from.

As the male stood up and coughed, he held is gut and stared at the girl in shock. The crowd was sentenced to silence after this event, no one expected that the first year would beat the 3rd year. The pissed male, however, didn't believe that the fight was over, and ran at her again. Rani sighed internally as she ducked beneath his newest punch, before countering attacking with her own attack. The male landed on his back behind Rani, coughing up dust from the environment around him. Rani slowly then turned to look at the make, a look he had never seen before in her eyes.

"Listen here and listen well." She stated, perking up the attention of her classmates. They recognized the line, after all, it was the same line she used to put Bakugou in his place. "I'm not even gonna deny that Bakugou is an annoying dickhead. He's self-centered and his manners need checking." The man in question was almost ready to call her out but decided it wouldn't best. He didn't even need to make that decision however, as Rani continued before he had a chance. "But he's class 1A's bastard. You mess with him, you mess with all of us."

Rani took a moment before stepping towards him, the hatred in her eyes washed away by something much more normal. Rani then raised her hand towards the male, offering him help to stand.

"Although, I will give you props. It's great to see someone so loyal to their friends, it feels like it's been years." After a moment, the 3rd year male grabbed Rani's hand, as the two stood up together. He felt surprised but yet at the same glad, he couldn't explain it. He was glad that he was able to meet someone as strong, loyal, and understanding as this first year, but he was surprised at how strong she was, and frankly even a little jealous.

"I now understand why you were recommended. can't wait to see what you do with your quirk, whatever it may be." Rani looked up and smiled at the bright male, all hatred was gone from his eyes.

"You too."

Gasps and whispers were heard from the crowd, "she didn't even use her quirk..!?"

"What class is she in?"

"Isn't she a first year?"

And with that, the gathering of students disbanded. Most went back inside, getting their books or heading to their next lessons, while others stayed to talk to the 3 students. Bakugou was almost instantly overrun with students, while both Rani and the 3rd year had questions thrown at them left, right, and center. It wasn't long before Class 1A basically had to kidnap Rani back to her own classroom.

When they arrived at shut the door, she herself was overrun with questions again, by her own classmates this time. Some were how she got in through suggestions, like Todoroki and Momo, while others were about her quirk and how she bet the 3rd year. It wasn't long before Aizawa entered, and told everyone to chill.

The lesson then continued as normal, with rumors spreading throughout the school as quickly as wildfire.

While others were surprised, Rani simply shrugged. She had dealt with high schools before, and without revealing too much, she'd dealt with U.A before directly. By the end of the day, Rani was competed tired of all the questions. Without talking to anyone, she made her way out of the school towards home, making a mental note to prepare the meals before tomorrow.
