Once we were finally ready for the party, it was around 9 o'clock. I had to admit, we sort of got off track and had our own dance party to Jess's throwback playlist.
My hair sat in natural, loose blonde waves which ended just passed my chest. I had never really been big on makeup, so I just did the basics. A little bit of concealer to even out my skin and some bronzer and blush so I didn't look like a ghost. I never wore a lot of mascara because I genuinely look like a raccoon with it.
Courtney and Jess, on the other hand, spent over an hour caking makeup on their face. Unlike me, who knew nothing about makeup, they were experts.
I decided to a white strapless top and a black mini-skirt with a black, leather varsity jacket over it, along with my white air force 1s.
Jess wore her hair half up half down, with white cropped skinny jeans and a purple tube top, with beige steve madden slip on shoes.
Courtney wore her hair in it's natural curls, as she usually did. It always looked stunning. She had on a pink, tight t shirt on with high waisted jean shorts and white converse.
Skylar wore a very short, black top which exposed her entire toned stomach. She also wore a light-wash of blue mom jeans, which were cuffed at the pant, and an oversized, leather biker jacket. She looked good, to say the very least.
We ordered an uber so that nobody would have to take the role as designated driver. As we all packed into the uber, I'm stuck seated in between Courtney and Skylar.
"Nice legs," Skyler whispered in my ear, causing me to roll my eyes, but smile subtly at the compliment.
Once we get to Dylan's, his house is packed.
We walked in and I began looking around for Dylan. I feel bad because he asked me to come early and I'm late. The girls followed me, pushing past all the sweaty and drunk bodies. I found him in the kitchen playing beer pong with my brother and two of his other friends, Tyler and Colin.
"Hey," he smiled when he saw me. He leaned in for a kiss but instead I engulfed him in a hug. It was awkward, but I was really not in the mood to kiss him.
"Wanna play?" he asked, holding up a ping pong ball.
I rejected his offer, "I'm okay".
"Alright, well at least let me get you guys drinks. Come on," he waved us over towards the drink table.
"Jungle juice all around?" he asked, and we all nodded.
He started handing out cups and the girls made their way to another room. Colin comes up behind Dylan and I.
"So you're friends with Skylar, right? She is unbelievably hot. Do you think she'd go for me?," he asked me, looking in her direction seductively.
His question irritated me, yet I didn't know why. I loathed when guys talked about girls like they were some sort of toy. I turned to face him, scowling.
"You're not her type, trust me," I assured him.
"Yeah, well, I heard she's into girls. That makes her even hotter," he said, walking towards her. I rolled my eyes, bringing my cup back to my lips as my eyes followed him.
I saw him introduce himself, and shake her hand.
I took a long swig from my drink and before I knew it, it was gone.
"Damn, done already?" Dylan laughed, his eyes widened as he poured more into my cup.
"Thanks," I muttered and took another sip.
