  Alex's pov

We've been in here for a while now. I felt my energy very slowly draining. The Chaos metal does that to you...

I sigh and lean my head back against the wall, my eyes seeing nothing. My arms rest on my knees that are pulled up.

I glance at Percy, who had fallen asleep. He looks so peaceful. I gently move the hair out of his face then resume my earlier postion, staring at nothing.

Why aren't we in the Underworld? Why are we here? Why can't I see my dad? Why can't I finally just give up? I ask myself. So many why's...

Well, I know one answer.... Because you'll break everyone around you...

But would they really miss you? My eyes widen as I recongize the voice who was terrorising me before I was first captured.

  Where are we!?

  Silence.

I stand up and look around. I walk towards the heavy door and examine it.

  I touch the wall slightly...

  Dad's lifeless, bloody body...

  The fire of the monster...

  Ms. Valdez's workshop burning down...

  Bloody wars...

  Screams of anguish...

  Swords clashing...

A knife flys at my brother...

Leo being slowly killed by a giant, Mimas, anti Hepheastus...

I fall to the ground as the images and sounds block out all thoughts. I silently scream.

Soon they fade and I am left laying on the ground, panting. I slowly crawl back to my spot on the wall, breathing heavily.

So you've met our door, now have you? All that you see is and was true... The voice says.

No... please no... I think before I black out, those images huanting me...

  Annabeth's pov

We step out of the door, appearing outside an abandonded apartment buliding. The door disappears. Leo looks at the buliding closely, then his eyes widen.

  "Whats wrong Leo?" Jason asks.

"A-Alex and I grew up here..." He says quietly.

My eyes widen, why would Chaos drop us here?

I hear a gasp, then a thump. I spin around and see Emily clutching her head, on her knees. Tears stream down her face.

"Emily? What's wrong?" I ask, kneeling down in front of her.

  She whimpers. "S-so much g-grief..."

  "What do you mean Emily?"

"D-death..." Her eyes shoot open and she looks behind me. "What happened here?" She asks quietly.

I follow her gaze, but I see no one there.

  Emily's pov

A man with brown hair and blue eyes stood before me. He has three claw marks on his chest with blood staining the shirt around him.

He seems to fade in and out of foccuse. Soon, I can only see him and the others like him. "What happened to you?" I ask gently.

He looks at me mournfully. "Hellhounds. Tried to kill Alexandria. Is she safe?" He sounds a bit strained.

"I don't know... we're going to find her though." I say.

A woman steps beside the greiving man. "There there, now, James." She looks at me. "Tell Leo that I love him..." She looks to the side and I follow her gaze and see Leo standing there, looking at me worridly. I look back at the woman that I know to be Leo's mother. Don't ask how I know, I just do.

"Oh and you kids was right on your suspitions on where Sliver and Gold are."

James speaks again. "You need to get out of here, now, it's too dangerous."

  "What's wrong?"

"Just go..." His voice fades and I no longer see the spirits of the dead.

  I sit up, gasping.

"Are you okay!?" Everyone asks. Jason helps me to my feet. My eyes land on Leo. "I need to talk to you, but that can wait. Annabeth? We need to leave, now." I say firmly.

  They look at me strangly.

Go! They're coming...! A voice rings in my ear.

  "Wh-" I cut her off.

"I'll explain when we're no longer here. Now, let's mo-"

"And where do you think you're going?" A gruff voice asks. I look up to see a large cyclops.

  "-ve." I finish.
