Leo's pov

  The monsters finally disenegrated.

I slump against a nearby tree, clutching my side. A empousia had gotten me with her spear before I added more fire to her, effecintly burning her.

I look down, moving my hand to see blood all over it. I grimance and put my hand back to my side. I look over our very 'lively' group. Jason had recived a blow to the temple, but acted as if nothing was wrong. Frank was too exhasted to turn human so he was stuck as a lion. Annabeth looked winded. Zoë was sitting down, curled up in a ball against a burnt looking tree. Opps. Emily had on hand against her leg, the other against a now dieing tree. I shiver slightly.

Honestly, she's probably creepier than Nico, but she has a pretty neat personallity. And she helped Alex out when no one else could or would, so I was thankful.

Emily looks through her bag and finds a cantin of nector and a small bag of smushed ambroasia. She passes the canteen to Jason, who takes a small sip then hands it to me. Instintly my mother's homeade brownies hits my taste buds.

I want to drink more, but hand it to Frank who did have a deep cut across his muzzle. He gets some somehow and turns human again. He gives it back to Emily who takes a drink then puts it back in the bag.

"We need to move, now." Annabeth says. We all nod and start walking quickly.

Jason flies up to the tree top then comes back down after a few minutes. "Guys, I can see Mount Tamalpias not to far now." He says, hope barely adible in his voice.

"Good. Let's move a little faster before the sun sets, then we can set up camp.

We end up jogging a steady pace.

  Everything is quiet.

Too quiet for me. I keep my gaurd up, but nothing happens.

Hours later the sun touches the horizon. We left the forest behind two or more hours ago, which Annabeth didn't seem to keen on. I didn't like it either. We were more open for attack.

I could see the mountian in the distance slowly getting closer.

  We stop.

Annabeth looks around. "Anyone want first watch?"

"Sure, I'll take it." Emily says, suprizing me.

  Uneasy glances are exchanged.

Emily rolls her eyes. "Seriously? Is it because Death is my father? If I wanted to kill you, which I don't, I could have done it at any time."

"It's not that... we just don't know you well..." Frank says quietly. I remember him telling me that Percy, Hazel, and himself had met Death.

Emily huffs. "Do I really need to?" Sighs. "Fine, I swear on the River Styx that I won't hurt or kill you in the night. Like I was going to anyways. Happy now?"

I shrug. "You helped Alex so, I trust you anways."

  "Thank you."

"Night folks." I lay down and get comfortable, Mount Tam in full veiw.

I stood in the corner of a dark room. I heard what sounded like someone pulling against chains.
My head snaps in that direction and I can make out a weak Percy pulling uselessly against three inch thick chains made out of a metal that was foriegn to me, and that never happens.
I hear the crack of a whip and a cry of pain. Percy's eyes narrow and he pulls all the harder. "Get away from her!" He growls.
I look over to see a dude with a black cloak on chuckle as he raises his whip again. It cracks onto the bloody mass below him. My eyes threaten to spill over with tears when I recongize that the bloody mass of limbs is Alex.
Lashes crisscross her back, her clothes in tatters.
The person kicks her over onto her back and I see something I wish I never had to see.
On her forehead, carved into the skin says 'Freak'. One arm has 'Unwanted' and the other says 'Unneeded.' The final one enrages me most of all. On her chest, still bleeding, says 'Unloved'.
I want to kill End here and now. But this is only a dream, and if he knows I'm here, he'll kill me and Alex will have no chance.
End carves more words into Alex's arms. On her right inner wrist though, he puts 'Property of End'. Percy tries to lunge at End, but gets pulled back because the chains. "Leave her alone! Get away from Alex!" He practically screams.
I see tears fall down Alex's face as End gets up and leaves the room, snapping his fingers. The chains fall from Percy's wrists and he rushes to Alex.
He looks back at the door that End had just left through, then back at Alex.
  "P-Percy......?" Her eyelids flutter.
"Yeah?" Percy had lifted Alex's head onto his lap.
"D-don't get yourself killed...... they need you, I'm nothing....." She forces out.
"Don't say that." I say. Percy's head snaps up towards me.
"Why didn't you do anything!?" He snaps.
I throw my hands up. "I'm actually sleeping about ten miles from this place, besides... I was afraid that if I did anything it would get worse for Alex." I say. "We'll be here soon."
"L-Leo... only one of us is getting out of here...." Alex forces out, trying to look at me.
"Both of you will make it out alive. Don't worry, just hold on, Alex, please..." I move closer beside them. "And you are important, Ally." I say, using the nickname I gave her so, so long ago.
I feel myself waking up, but I try to stay longer. "L-Leo... don't bother.............. I love you..." She whispers the last part.
"I'm not giving up on either of you. Not while I'm still breathing. And I love you too Alex."
She smiles a pained smile. I look up at Percy. "Hurry."

  I wake up.

Annabeth was shaking me awake. I sit up.

"Guys, we need to move. Now." I say quickly, standing up.

  "Wait. What happened?" Annabeth asks.

"End's been torturing her. She's close to-" My voice cracks. I can't say it.

"Death.... I can feel it..." Emily says, looking off into space towards the mountian.

  We start moving quickly.

I finally know what she wanted to tell me... I loved the girl I met on the swing set over a decade ago... and she shared the feeling.

And now I was about to lose her.

  For good this time.

A/N So... what cha think? Do ya like? Ya could vote or comment telling me...
