Leo's pov

  "Leo... I lov-" Alex disappears.

I feel like sobbing. She appears for just a few minutes, helps me, then tries to tell me something, then disappears.

What did she want to tell me? She loves something or someone... The thought of her loving someone else teared at my heart.

I realized I was jealous. Wow, I've never felt that before. I definitely care about Alex. I think on it.

Then it hits me like a sack of bricks.

  I love Alexandria Jackson.

  Percy's pov

I told Alex to go back to sleep. I didn't need the sleep at the moment and she did.

I sigh. Hunger knawed at my stomach. My tongue was as dry as a desert and my throat stung. Alex must have felt the same way.

My limbs felt heavy from the weakness the Chaos metal ensued us. They felt like lead to tell you the truth.

If help is coming, they need to hurry. I could feel the hours of life ticking by.

  Annabeth's pov

Another giant came and destoryed the bus we were on.

Luckily everyone had gotten off in time so no one was hurt.

We were currently running through the woods, avoiding a pack of eight hellhounds.

We had finally made it to New Mexico, two days later. We had eight days, but according to Leo who told us about his enconter with Alex, that if we wanted to save both Alex and Percy, we had seven days. Don't you just love deadlines that seem to get shorter with each moment?

I could hear the howls behind us closing in. I could hear my friends panting terribly. Even though two of us were Chaos soldiers, we've been running longer than we've ever had to before, not to mention we were already exhasted from the last attack.

"Guys!" I pant. "If we want a chance, we have to stop and face them now!" I knew they couldn't go on much longer and the hounds were closing in with every passing moment.

We stop and draw our weapons. Emily had prayed to her father for a weapon and a obsidian blade had appeared before her. The hilt was decorated with a skull with ruby eyes and black roses. Emily had smiled widely while everyone else shuddered. We could feel the power that radiated off of the cold blade.

The hounds arrive, snarling and spreading out. There were only six of us and Zoë was still recovering from the giants, in no shape to fight. Jason was still a bit diorented. Emily seems to have recovered the fastest. The large dogs lunge.

A/N Okay, you may send me to Tartarus if you like because I am a horrible person! I know it's probably shorter than most, but I had to get you guys something right away, especially when I saw how many veiws I have! Thank you guys so much!

Now, I know this is asking 'alot' but I would like five votes or three comments before I post another chappy.

  Stay away from mortals! Byezzz!
