Alex's pov
So all Morpheus wanted was for me to protect his son? Well, I don't think I could keep him safe all the way to Long Island, but my friends are here too, so maybe...
First borns are always more powerful.
We continue walking, but I can feel even the slightest movement, but I mask my pain. I can't show it now.
I hear a loud growl.
Ten hellhounds appear out of the brush around us. I hear more coming.
"What's going on?" Danny asks. I grab his hand and push him behind me.
"Nothing can happen to him guys." I say. The group nods and we form a circle around him.
"Alex, get in the circle with him." Percy says.
"No way. I'm fighting and there is nothing you can do about it!" I say, raising my blade.
"Alexandria, get inside the circle." He says again.
"Alex please." Leo says quietly from beside me. His tone of voice catches me off gaurd. It was pleading.
I glance at him.
He looks straight at me, his brown eyes finishing what he started. I can't lose you again.
His thoughts were hitting me like a battering ram. They said the same thing as his chocolate brown eyes did. Then one image hit me.
It was me, holding the sky. The sky was litterally about to crush me. Blood dripped down to small pools around me that slowly grew larger. I felt imense fear. But it wasn't my fear.
Another image.
I was laying in a sleeping bag, still as stone except for my labored breathes that had to much space in between. A cotten bandage made it's way around my head and blood seaped through. The stain clearly made the word Freak.
I blink. I see the hellhound before me, waiting for orders.
I grab Leo's hand. "I'm sorry, but I will not back down now." I whisper to him.
He sighs, but nods in understanding.
The hounds lunge.
A/N Oh my gods! I'm so sorry, it's so short! Urgh! Well, night my friends! I have school tomorrow sadly... byezzz!
