Percy's pov
We finally reached where ever we were going when Emily colapsed.
Leo had stuck his head out of the cave enterance, holding a hammer. He looks up at us. "Good, you're back. What happened to Emily?"
"Empousia stabbed her in the side." I say quickly as Jason picks her up and takes her inside the cave. We file in after him.
I go over to a very still Alex. Her face was pale and her breaths were labored. I noticed that Leo tended her wounds. I look back at him. "Thank you."
We look at each other for a moment. "Of coarse. Anything for her."
I look back at my sister. Gods, I pray she'll be okay.
Annabeth sits by me. "I'm glad you're okay..." She says quietly. I wrap an arm around her and pull her close, kissing her forehead.
"Thank you for coming back for us." I say after a moment.
"Always, Percy. Always." She tells me. I smile softly and kiss her on the forehead again. She lays her head against me and sits there quietly.
"We should probably rest before we get moving again. We can't stay here forever and most of us are in no shape to fight." I say after a while.
"I'll take first watch." Frank volunteers. I nod.
I lay down and Annabeth lays next to me, her head rresting on my chest as I fall into oblivian.
I found myself back in End's throne room.
"Master, they have escaped." A cyclops says, not daring to look at him, quaking in fear.
End stays silent for a moment. "How did you let them past you? The girl was almost dead and the boy was chained in chaos metal!" He yells.
"A group of demigods came... three boys and three girls..."
End glares at the terrified cyclops. "Get the giants. Titans can come as well."
The cyclops bows then litterally runs from the room.
A moment later twelve giants and twelve Titans. Oh what fun.
"Recapture the demigods. Do not under estimate them like the last times you have faced them. If you can't get all of those eight, then at least kill Alex or Percy. Preferably
both." End says to them.
They nod their heads.
"Do not return until you do. Desmissed!"
They bow to him and file out of the room.
I wake with a start.
"You okay?" Annabeth whispers. I look down at her in the dark.
"Nightmare... once everyone's awake I'll tell." I whisper back.
"Okay... Get some sleep Percy."
"Alright." I lay back down and feel Annabeth get comfortable again. I lay my hand over her shoulders and soon fall asleep again.
"Percy! Percy, we need to get moving!" I wake up to Annabeth shaking me.
"Morning..." I yawn. She smirks slightly, then wipes something on my face away.
"You still drool, Seaweed Brain."
I roll my eyes and sit up. Emily was up and moving, argueing with Jason about caring her own weight. Alex still wasn't moving. Leo was next to her changing bandages on her.
Frank was standing by the enterance, looking for anything.
"Guys!" I say. "I need to tell you something..." I tell them about my dream.
"They're very determined, aren't they?" Annabeth sighs.
"Yeah they are..." I glance at Alex who still hadn't moved, but you could now hear her larbored breathing. I can't let anything else happen to her. I glance at Annabeth who had taken my hand. I can't let anything happen to her either.
"We need to start moving." I say. I stand up and lean against the cave wall. Even if I did sleep, it feels like I haven't slept in years.
Annabeth looks at me. I can see the worry in those stormy grey eyes of her. "What did they do to you?" She whispers.
I shake my head weakly and nod towards Alex. "It wasn't so much me as much as it was her..."
Annabeth looks over at Alex as Leo starts to pick her up. Everyone else grabs a bag and we head out the cave, moving as fast as possible.
I look over my friends and family. They were move family than friends anyway.
We were all beaten and battered, but we still surged forward. I hope we can keep doing that with no more complications, but demigods hardly ever got happy endings.
