Layla picked up the crossbow, looked at it and wondered what it was "What am I supposed to do with this?"
Alaric took the crossbow from her, grabbed an arrow and showed her where to place it, then explained how to use it. He showed her the arrow and explained how they could be lit with fire.
"Well, why would I use this, when I can just set the person on fire like I had before?"
"I'm guessing this is for you to use against the leader. Being that it is made from wood, and the script written on it, you'll have to kill the leader with it." Adrian cut in. "Like us vampires, we can be killed with a wooden dagger or stake when stabbed in the heart." he sighed.
"You'll now have to figure out what the sword says, and figure out who the leader is." Alaric looked at the letter Layla had set down next to him, placed his finger on top of it and slid it over to her. "Maybe you should read this, I'm sure she wrote instructions on how to use it, and when."
Layla picked up the letter, opened it and stared at it, groaning "The letter is nice and all, but it would help if I knew what it fucking said." she said, setting the letter down on the table. She opened the book, and saw the same type of writing in the book. "This is no good to me either... why would she give me something that I have no clue on how to read?"
Adrian laughed "I'm sure you know how, you just haven't figured it out." he replied as he stood up "You two figure this out, I have a date to attend to." he says, wiggling his eyebrows up and down with a grin.
For hours, Layla sat on the couch switching from looking through the book, and looking at the letter, trying to make sense out of it. As she studied the letter, there was a line she remembered seeing in the book, and scanned through the book to see if it was similar. When she found it, she held the letter to the page in the book and realized it was the same.
She placed the letter inside, not wanting to lose the spot, then set the book down on the table. Her mind was all over the place trying to take in all the information, and wanted to take a break. She got off the couch, looked at the time then looked for Alaric.
"Alaric?" she called out. She walked upstairs, and walked the hallway calling out his name. She walked in the bedroom to see if he may have laid down, didn't see him and walked back out into the hallway. "Where the hell is he?"
She heard a noise coming from the bedroom and walked back in "Alaric, is that you?" She walked further in, heard water running and smiled when she saw the bathroom door closed, and figured he was showering.
She opened the door, peeked her head inside, saw that he was in the shower and walked in while taking off her clothes. She stepped into the shower and placed her hands on his shoulder blades and began kissing his back "You could have told me you were going to take a shower; I would have joined you." she said as she kissed his back.
He turned around and grinned "Looks like you've come to join me anyway." he winked. A smile crept up his face when he started reading her mind "I'm reading your mind, and instead of you wanting that old wooden dagger, you would like to have the real one, am I right?"
"Who wants a fake one, when you can have the real one?" she smirked. She reached up, wrapped her arms around him, and pulled him in for a kiss. "This is much better." she moaned.
He pressed her up against the wall, cupped her breasts, and devoured her mouth. While his hands were massaging her breasts, she reached down, grabbed a hold of his cock and moaned when she felt how hard he was for her. She pulled her lips away from his, slid her body down against the shower wall and kneeled to his poker.
"Layla... what are you doing?" he groaned in pleasure when she placed him in her mouth. The warmth of her mouth wrapped around him had him feeling alive, that sent sparks throughout his body. The pleasure he was feeling had him highly aroused, and a feeling of acceptance from a woman that he had never felt in his life. He was feeling energized, loved, and rejuvenated.
