"The reaction you have on your face, is basically the same as what I had on mine when he told me about the affair, not to mention I thought I was going to throw up."

"There's no possible way, he would ever betray my mother." he said in disbelief.

She placed her hand on the door handle and looked away from him "Well, believe it, because it's true..." she says as she opened the door. She slammed the door shut, ran into the house, and up the stairs to the bedroom. She sat on the  bed, covered her face with her hands, and cried. She didn't know if she should be upset with Alaric, hate him, or just ignore what she was told by Frederick. She felt it was his father's fault for her mother's death, and where she is at now.

Alaric walked into the room, and stood against the wall, debating on asking her his next question "So, if what you're saying is true, that means we're related?"

She shook her head slowly "No, we're not related, but we could have been."

He felt relieved, yet frustrated and rubbed his face hard. He couldn't believe his father would ever cheat on his mother, and wondered when he had the time to do anything like that, then thought about the times he was with him when they were over at her home. "Are you sure?"

"Yes I'm sure!" she snapped "He mentioned that this entire time he thought I was his daughter, up until recently, claiming he knows who my father is, but refuses to say who it is in respect to my father, who would like to be the one to explain to me about who he really is..." She had to stop talking, and take a breather, still trying to remember everything that Frederick said to her, then looked at Alaric with sadness in her eyes. "Which I have a hard time believing you had no clue they were having an affair, you were there with him multiple times, and you never saw anything?"

He pushed away from the wall and walked over to her, sitting down on the bed next to her, he placed his hand on her thigh and sighed "Layla, I had no fucking clue my father, and your mother were having an affair. Hearing you tell me this, pisses me the fuck off. By him hiding this from me, could have been bad... very, very bad."

She laughed a mocking laugh "You're telling me... I had so much anger building up inside me, that I was ready to place a spell on him, until he stopped me, telling me that I better not even try to do anything to him. These last few months have been nothing but horrible, the more I learn about myself, who I am, what I am, and who my family is, the more I'm hating my life." she says as she wiped some tears away from her eyes.

"Don't say that..."

"Why not?"

"Because... by you saying that, you're saying that you hate us."

"I don't hate us, you're the only thing that makes me want to keep going. I'm just hating everything else."

"What else was said?"

She sighed, groaned, and leaned back onto the bed "That my father has a big heart, and that if he had found out years ago that my father was sleeping with my mother, he would have killed him, but is happy to know that he is my father."

He turned his body and looked at her, then hovered over her and looked in her eyes "I'm telling you I had no clue, had I known, you and I wouldn't be together." He leaned down and pressed his lips against hers "I say we kick some ass, and get rid of Trevor once and for all."

She smiled "Just wait, I want to torture him some more. After talking with your father and finding out what he and his family did to my mother, I'm going to make him go through what she went through."

He stood up, helped her off the bed, and pulled her close to him giving her a passionate kiss "Just know, that I'm not letting anything or anyone get between us, you're my girl." he said lovingly, with a smile.
