"Ultron knows we're coming. Odds are we'll be riding into heavy fire, and that's what we signed up for. But the people of Sokovia, they didn't. So our priority is getting them out." Steve explained as the team exited the quinjet.
"All they want is to live their lives in peace, and that's not going to happen today. But we can do our best to protect them. And we can get the job done, and find out what Ultron's been building. We find Romanoff, and we clear the field. Keep the fight between us. Ultron thinks we're monsters and we're what's wrong with the world. This isn't just about beating him. It's about whether he's right."
Bucky turned to Amie, "He still does those speeches?"
The girl chuckled, "Every time."
"Okay. Split up. Clear the city. Make sure everyone is out." Steve explained, "I'll take the bridge and start traffic control. Everyone else worry about evacuating everyone. Stark, stall Ultron."
Amelie headed to apartment buildings, setting off the fire alarms to get the people out.
"You need to move! Get out of the city!" She said, "We're under attack."
Her warning did cause a little bit of panic, but everyone was running to their cars or the train station. The tensions were high, and Amie's clammy hands shook with nerves as she directed people out of the city.
"Why should we listen to the Avengers?" Someone asked her.
"Would you rather stay and have the chance of killed by evil crazy robots? Or leave with the chance of nothing happening at all?" Amie argued, "Just for the day. Hurry."
"Southeast is clear. I've got about half already evacuated out of city limits." Amie explained, "Some are headed towards the bridge."
"Good." Steve said, "Keep moving-"
All of a sudden, the ground started to rumble beneath their feet. The city separated from the ground, and slowly started to rise, tearing away from the earth. Amie took several steps back, looking over the edge of the city, watching the ground get further and further away.
"Uh... are we flying?" Amie asked, "Is the city flying?"
"Yeah." Sam said on one of the lines, "It is."
"We have robots incoming. Everyone be ready." Steve warned.
"Everyone take cover. Get inside somewhere safe!" She yelled, "Now!"
Now that something was actually happening, people were listening. Everyone ran inside, taking cover from the hundred of robots that just landed on the city.
"Stark, you worry about bringing the city back down safely. The rest of us have one job: tear these things apart. You get hurt, hurt 'em back. You get killed, walk it off." Steve instructed. Amie chuckled, shaking her head as she bounced on the balls of her feet, preparing herself for the attack.
Running towards the center of the city, Amie used her powers to destroy the robots as they attacked her. She ripped them apart, exploded them, or knocked them into each other. Her eyes were dark with purple energy, her hands tingling with power
"Long time no see." Ultron's voice echoed from one of the robots. Amie turned, panicked, sending a wave of energy at the five robots approaching her. They all sparked and hissed, their heads popping off from the rest of their bodies.
"That was a distraction." A blast at her feet sent Amie tumbling backwards, falling into a pile of rubble. The bot flew over her, Ultron's voice chuckling in her ear.
"Pity. I thought you'd be a little more badass than that, Amelie. What a sad way to die." Ultron raised an arm, ready to blast a hole in Amelie's chest.
