"Medieval England. See, this is what I'm talking about, a nice, well-documented piece of history." Nate says as you, Ray, and him all get ready to explore into a part of the 6th century.

"Knights in shining armor, damsels in distress, and best of all, jousts." Ray pretends to joust Nate as you roll your eyes at Ray's remark for women in peril.

"Don't think for one second that I will be said damsel in distress." You say glaring at Ray.

"Wouldn't dream of it." He came over and kissed your cheek making you blush in the process.

"Well, jousting didn't appear in England till 1300 A.D.-" Nate intruded but was stopped when Ray pointed his sword toward him.

"Don't take this away from me."

"Raymond." You stood next to Ray and slowly pushed the sword down and out of Nates face.

"Just forget about history for once, all right? We're in the Age of Legend." Ray looks at the both of you for support of his claim. You pat his shoulder and walk out the room to join the rest of the team.

"Well, remember as Santayana once said: "Those who cannot remember history, are condemned to repeat it."

"Was he a knight? I don't remember his name. And I was pretty obsessed with Arthurian lore as a kid."

"Hmm, well, if you were, you would know that there were no jousts."

"Oh, well, agree to disagree." Ray stuck out his hand for Nate to settle their discussion.

"Fair." Nate put the metal glove in Rays hand and walked out of the fabrication room. Leaving Ray with his thoughts.

You were waiting in the cargo bay sat on a container ready to go when Ray walked in. "Hey Ray" You move to the side so he could sit next to you on the container.

"Hey (Y/N). You ready to go see knights, and castles, and-oh! Maybe we'll get to meet King Arthur!" He looks at you with his same boyish smile and curious eyes. You laugh lightly at his childlike behavior.

"I swear Ray I wonder how a brilliant mind like yours is in the body of an adult Boy Scout." You grab his hand and hold it close to you.

"But I'm serious. This is like my childhood fantasies are coming true."

"I know Ray, but remember, this is another mission. We have to find the piece of the Spear. We can come back and visit after we defeat the legion, ok?" You put your hand on his cheek and look into his eyes.

"Yeah, all right." You kiss his forehead and wait with him till it was time.

Everything has gone to all hell. Damien Darkh showed up with Rip and took control over King Arthur. In the process, his whole army of trained knights as well. Amaya got the last piece of the spear from Star Girl, so Sara ordered the team to leave and not battle the army of brainwashed knights. Now you and Nate just needed to go get Ray, which was going to be a challenge.

You walked with Nate to the tent holding the people willing to fight for their kingdom. You were telling him that it was going to be tricky getting Ray to come back to the ship. He was having a little too much fun in this place. But Nate didn't listen very well and barged into the tent. "Ray this is wrong....Please tell me that's not Galahad's sword."

You facepalmed as Nate went against what you were telling him earlier. Ray tapped at his arm where you noticed he had a piece of The Atom suit on. "I know, it's not historically accurate, but...I couldn't resist." He held up his hand to show he had the blasters built into his armor. He then grabs at Galahad's sword and activates his suit, creating electricity to run through the sword.

Are you kidding me?

"Ray, What are you doing?" You look into Ray's eyes trying to come up with the perfect words to get him to come back.

"Have you lost your complete mind?" Thanks Nate.

"No, I focused the ionic energy into Galahad's sword-" I swear to god

"That's great Ray but Sara says it's time to go, so..."

"Nate." You glare at him telling him to let you handle this.

"What? But the battle hasn't even begun." Ray looks at you and you slowly shake your head.

"Precisely why we're leaving now. Listen Amaya found the fragment, so there's no need for this medieval warfare. That's great news, right? Let's go." Wrong choice of words Nate. Ray stood still looking confused and slightly pained. You looked at him and stood in front of him.

"Ray?" You grab his hand and pull it close to you to try and bring him back to reality.

"In case you weren't listening, this is the part where we run." Ray took a second to look at you then turned to Nate with a stern expression.

"I can't"

"Sure, you can.Left foot, right foot, repeat, let's go."

"Nate!" You had completely had it with his tactics of persuasion.

"No, Nate. Look around you. All of these men are willing to die on the battlefield. Not for some Spear, but for an idea. And I get it now. Camelot isn't about history. It's not even about some dusty old books that got a lonely kid through childhood. It's about one noble idea, that we can all stand up for what's right, no matter what. And I can't walk away from that." The whole time Ray held your hand tightly to keep you at his side.

Nate now had a softer expression and hung his shoulders low. "I believe you Ray. I do. And Camelot's great. But if you don't leave right now, you're gonna die here."

"What?" You looked at Nate with the most hateful glare that you could give. How could he keep this from you! You could've gotten Ray to leave if you had known."

"Would it kill you to be just a little bit more supportive?"

"You don't get it, man. I checked the manuscript. I saw your funeral." You were on the verge of tears from the thought that you might lose Ray. We had to get out of here.

"Well, sounds to me like the stuff Legends are made of."

"What?" You looked at Ray and saw he made his decision. He wasn't leaving.
