Truth Or Dare

The sides were all lounging around the mind palace, not really doing anything when Patton suggested they do something together as a group.

"Like what?" Virgil asked, sitting in a chair in a way one is not supposed to sit in a chair.

"Oh, um..." Patton looked around at the three other sides, then clapped his hands in excitement. "Truth or dare!"

"What?" Virgil and Logan asked in unison.

"Let's play truth or dare! You know, we'll all sit in a circle, ask each other questions, give each other dares... it'll be fun!"

Before anyone could reply, the group heard a voice from behind them say, "If you're all playing truth or dare... we want in,"

It was Deceit... and Remus.

"Nope! Absolutely not!" Roman said, standing up to head to his room. "Not today, not ever, it is not happening!"

He was stopped as Remus threw an arm around Roman's shoulder. "Aw, come on, bro! Patton's right- it'll be fun!" Roman grimaced at his brother's remark, shaking off Remus's arm.

"Yeah, come on guys!" Patton seemed to be ignoring the existence of the gremlin man and his slithery companion. He sat on the ground beside Virgil's chair and after a moment, Logan sat down beside him. Roman took his place in the circle across from Virgil, and Remus and Deceit sat beside him. No one acknowledged their existence, but soon they had to as Deceit asked,

"Patton- Truth or dare?"

"Um... truth?" Patton answered hesitantly, looking extremely uncomfortable and like he was entirely regretting suggesting this game.

"What is your guilty pleasure?"

Patton- along with everyone else in the room- relaxed. This couldn't be too bad, right? He thought for a moment, "Oh! Sometimes I'll make myself a big bowl of ice cream, and take it to my room!" He lowered his voice as if he was telling a secret, "We're not really supposed to do that,"

Deceit rolled his eyes as if he was disappointed, but honestly- what else could he expect from Patton?

"My turn!" Patton said, excitedly. "Uh... Virgil! Truth or dare?"

Virgil looked down at Patton from his chair and rolled his eyes. "Truth," He answered confidently.

"Boring," Remus yawned, drawing out the 'o'. Everyone in the circle shot him a look that basically read as, 'Shut up trash goblin,'

"Do you want a hug?" Patton asked, smiling at Virgil dopily.

"Patton, I don't think that-" Roman began, but Patton cut him off, saying,

"It's a truth, and that's the question Virgil has to answer. Only if he wants to," Patton added

"Not how the game works," Roman mumbled to himself.

"Uh... I'm good, thanks," Virgil said, responding to Patton's question.

"Ah," Patton said, shrugging.

"Okay..." Virgil said, looking around the circle. "Remus, truth or dare?" Everyone looked at Virgil like he had grown a second head. Asking Remus?

"Oh, goody!" Remus shouted, far too loud. "Dare!" He smiled maniacally at Virgil.

"Leave," Virgil said smugly.

There was silence. No one moved.

"I... don't think you can do that," Logan said quietly.

"I'm not leaving," Remus sounded offended, not that anyone cared.

"Fine," Virgil groaned after another minute of no one doing anything. "Remus... I dare you to... Get in the fridge." Everyone was silent again. "Oh, come on!" Virgil groaned, "You can't tell me that's not a valid dare!"

"I'll do it," Remus said, rising to his feet. "Oh, but first," He said, spinning back in on the circle, "Logan! Truth... Or... Dare?!" He said, far more dramatically than ever necessary.

Logan looked extremely displeased to be addressed by someone who looked like Captain Jack Sparrow in shitty Riddler cosplay. "Truth," He answered begrudgingly.

"Why is everyone choosing truth?" Roman asked, "It's so boring!"

"Do you want to be given a dare by that putrid person?" Logan retorted, and Roman nodded in agreement after a moment.

"Logan..." Remus said, in a tone that was trying to be seductive, "Who in this room have you gotten hot and heavy with?"

An uncomfortable awkwardness fell over the room, while Remus turned on his heel and threw himself into the fridge with needless violence.

"Let's see..." Logan said contemplatively. "You," He said, pointing at Virgil, whose face grew an unnatural shade of red as his eyes widened. "You," Logan pointed at Roman next, whose reaction was identical to Virgils. "You," He pointed at Deceit, who merely smirked and winked at Logan. Logan glanced around the circle before saying, "Yeah, everyone here. Excluding Remus." He shook his head as though the very idea was preposterous.

Everyone- except Deceit- was staring at Logan in abject horror. Deceit was looking at Logan smugly, with what could almost be described as approval.

Logan noticed everyone's looks and raised an eyebrow. "What?" He asked, "When answering a multiple-choice question, you don't just circle the first answer. You examine each one subjectively, then choose the most suitable option. Is it so unreasonable to do that with 'romantic' partners?"

His question was answered with silence, again.

Patton cleared his throat suddenly. "Snack break, anyone?" He asked, far too loudly, standing up and walking away from the circle hastily. Patton opened the fridge and screamed when Remus fell out holding a mayonnaise jar.

"Hungry?" He asked, a devious smile on his face. Remus looked at Logan and winked.

No one wanted to continue to play after that.

A/N- I am so sorry this exists. @Vioxei & I have a headcanon that Logan is a slut (for scientific purposes- he just wants to win), and apparently, I have to write about that.

If you want to read something that isn't this, feel free to check out @Vioxei! I guarantee nothing you read there will be scarring as this must have been.

I am terribly sorry.
