Scene 5 - The story

The others are waiting by the control panel patiently. Connor, Milo, the Doctor, Leela and K-9 arrive. Mitch and the others seem delighted yet surprised to meet new people, as is the Doctor - especially with the instruments and plants.

Doctor:

Good lord! Some place you've got here.

Mitch:

People! We've actually got new people!

Doctor:

Hello there.

Ki:

And some dog as well.

Ki goes into stroke K-9 to annoy him. The cute robot dog then retracts his laser gun.

K-9:

Do not insult me, otherwise I should have to restrain you.

Ki smiles.

Ki:

Yeah, good dog.

Doctor:

Cutting edge stuff, isn't he? Say hello K-9.

K-9:

Hello everyone.

Lily:

He's really sweet. You made him?

Doctor:

Ah, no. A present from a Professor on an asteroid. Not too far from this time period I imagine.

Connor:

If you wouldn't mind introducing yourselves.

Doctor:

Oh yes. Well, I'm the Doctor. And that's Leela.

Louisa:

So, what brings you all the way here then, Doctor?

Doctor:

Oh, nothing. We were just passing through as always and we noticed that your planet was a little off course. Here, have a jelly baby...?

Louisa:

Louisa.

Doctor:

Have a jelly baby, Louisa.

The Doctor opens his pack for her to take a delicious jelly baby out and eat.

Louisa:

Good. They're good. I remember sweets. They're great.

Lily:

That's something you can remember at least.

Louisa:

Oi! They make fun of me Doctor because I am the youngest.

Doctor:

Yes, I understand.

Lily:

Anyway, makes a change from the processed nutritious stuff.

Doctor:

Oh, really?

Connor:

I must apologize. I haven't even introduced us all yet. Here, we have Mitch, Mia, Lily, Ki and of course, Louisa.

They give a little smile or wave when their names are announced.

Doctor:

Splendid. Have a jelly baby everyone.
