Day 11: Wednesday
Yesterday was a nice day and you skipped school. Today, it was raining. You were on your way to school. A very faint noise came from somewhere. You turn and try to identify the sound.
?: Meow~ Meow~
You find a box with a little black cat inside. It's was so cute! It was looking up at you with it's tiny eyes. Awww.
You: Well, I can't just leave it here...
?: Hey, Mary!
You turn around, it's Kris.
Kris: Where were you yesterday?
You: At home. My stomach felt a little bad.
Kris: Oh... Well, what's over there?
You: It's a little cat. I want to take care of it... But, I can't just bring it to school. If I head back, I'll be late.
Kris: Let's just take it to school then. Mr. Kale isn't that strict. He'll probably allow this.
You: You think so?
Kris: You won't know unless you try!
You gently pick up the cat. It doesn't resist.
Cat: Meow~
You carry it all the way to school.
You enter the classroom. Everyone looks at you and is silent. Their expressions are confused, shocked, worried.
Mark: What's that Mary?
Mark appears from behind.
You: I found this cat this morning and I couldn't leave it in the rain so I brought it here.
Henry: Isn't that just the cutest thing?
He looks at the cat for a little bit. Like he was staring at it...?
You: Um... Henry?
Henry: ...Uh yeah?
You: You okay?
Henry: Yeah! Totally!
Mr. Kale walks through the door.
Mr. Kale: Mary, care to explain?
You: I found a cat in a box and it was raining outside so...
Mr. Kale: Are you asking if you can keep it in the classroom for today?
You: Yeah...
Mr. Kale: Lucky for you, I'm not a cold hearted human so yes, you can keep it here. But only for today! There should be an empty cardboard box in the back.
You: Thank you!
You walk to the back and find the empty box. You carefully place the cat inside.
Cat: Meow?
Henry: You're gonna keep it aren't you? You should give it a name!
You: You're right! What about... CL?
Cat: Nya!
Henry: Looks like it agrees.
Mr. Kale: The bell's gonna ring soon. Get in your seats!
