Three Months Later

"Hey, baby," Rome said, walking into the bedroom. "I made you something."
Looking at him, I smiled as I saw what was in his hands.
"Breakfast in bed? Thank you, baby." I ran into the bathroom to wash my face & brush my teeth. I'm aware that there are some women who wake up looking perfect with no bad breath & no sleep in their eyes.
I'm not that woman.
I returned, drowning Rome in kisses. "Thank you, baby."
"You're welcome," he kissed me. "What time is our meeting with the wedding planner?"
"1:00," I replied as I stuffed pancake in my mouth, earning a laugh from Rome.
"Aiight. I have to go in & do a tat, but I'll be back in time."
Today, we were going to look at venues for our wedding. We decided that we didn't want a huge wedding. We just wanted something big enough for family & friends.
"Don't forget about our meeting with the realtor," he said, pulling clothes out of his drawer.
I let out a deep breath as my mind wandered. "I really hope we like it. We've been looking at places for 2 months & none of them gave us that 'this is it' feeling, that 'oomph' feeling, you know?"

"I know. I think this one is away from the city. We might like it. We just need to go in with an open mind," he said, stealing a forkful of my eggs.
"Didn't you eat already?" I asked him.
"Yea, but yours taste better," he said, making me laugh.
"I'm going over to Shannon's tomorrow for a girls' night. She's bringing Kali & Eva. Lena is coming, too."
"I'm glad y'all have that sisterly relationship you've always wanted," Rome said.
"Me, too. I'm happy they moved down here. It's nice seeing them whenever I want." I smiled. "I think she said Judith is coming by as well."
"Who's Judith?"
"Rome, please keep up. She's Lance's wife, who is also very pregnant, so she's not sure if she'll be able to come."
"You met her before?"
"No. Lance said they were supposed to come to our engagement party, but he had to do some things in Nashville at the time. Shannon called her on FaceTime a few times, so we had a few conversations. She seems nice."
