Chapter 5 (Re-written)

Evening comes around, Sebastian leaves, and Remington texts Andy again.

Hey.

Remington!

Andy!

What's up?

Remington smiles.

Bored

Come over?

Now??

Yep

Remington agrees. Andy gives him his address. He goes to tell his brother he's going out, only finding Shy, telling her before leaving. The woman says she'll tell Emerson, amused because she knows Emerson has had suspicions of Remington crushing on Andy for a while now.

Eventually, after stressing out over his hair and his makeup and pretty much everything else, the singer leaves the house. He arrives at the rock star's home, knocking nervously on the door which opens pretty much as soon as he's knocked.

"Remington, come in!" Andy welcomes, stepping aside so the younger man can come into his house. "Do you want anything to drink?"

Remington shakes his head. "No thank you," he answers, nervous.

"Alright," Andy says. "I was thinking, if you wanted, we could watch a film."

"That sounds good. It's been a while since I've watched a film."

Smiling, Andy shows the boy into the living room. "Choose whatever, I'll open Netflix," he says, turning on the television.

Remington sits beside Andy, still trying to figure out why he feels like this around him. "What about that one?" He wonders, pointing to a film on the screen.

After reading the preview, the older man agrees. "That sounds good, as long as you're okay with horror."

"I'll probably be okay." Remington says, blatantly lying because he always finds horror films terrifying.

Andy knows he's lying but says nothing. It'll be a good excuse to perhaps cuddle the boy, should he get too scared. They watch the movie quietly for a while, Remington not finding it too bad until a jump scare surprises him and he yelps a profanity.

"You okay?" The older asks, smiling at the innocent boy.

Remington nods, trying to compose himself.

Another few minutes go by and then there's a tense scene where the girl is confronting the killer. Suddenly the killer pulls out a knife and swiftly slits the poor girl's throat and she falls to the ground with blood dripping out of her mouth.

Remington covers his face with his hands and whines when Andy chuckles. "Remind me never to watch a horror film again," he mumbles, "ew."

"You're fucking cute."

The boy has no response.

"You know we can turn it off if you want. I don't mind. I'd rather not give you nightmares."

"Not like I don't already have them," Remington says, and then, "it's fine."

So the film goes on and the boys are quiet until the next jump scare, when Remington loses his shit. He screams and his hands fly up to his eyes, blocking them from seeing anything else. Andy finds this so adorable.

"Are you sure you don't want me to turn it off?"

Remington shakes his head. "I wanna know what happens. You can just protect me."
