It's been 2 days since Emily received the news that she has a big possibility of having ITP. Emily hasn't told Daniel yet. She was afraid of what he'd think. Daniel was so happy and excited that he was going to be a father; sometimes she thought he was more excited about the baby than her. Another reason why she hadn't told him yet was because she wanted to share the news with him in person. But that hasn't happened. She's been all alone in her home. Daniel hasn't come home since the day of her ultrasound visit. He has supposedly been "caught up in work" and just sleeping at the office. Sometimes though Emily wonders if he was actually doing something else.

She knew awhile back that things had gone hay wire with Daniel and Sara. That all happened a few weeks before the engagement. Emily and Daniel sorted things out and long forogt about that and just thought about the love they now shared. True Love. Emily knew Sara was still hanging around in town so she believed there was a chance that they were together.

Emily picked up the phone and called Daniel; for the 10th time this hour.

This is Daniel Grayson. Sorry you could not reach me at the moment please leave a message and I'll get back to you soon.

BEEP

Emily was so sick of hearing that voicemal over and over. She just wanted to know he was coming back to her and not staying with some other women. No, Daniel would never leave me for another woman. Emily thought. But it was getting hard to believe herself.

Ring, Ring.

Emily quickly picked up the phone. Dissapointed to see her doctors name and not Daniels, she answered it.

Emily's POV

"Hello?"

Mrs. Thorne how are you today?

I thought about saying 'horrible' but instead said I was doing fine.

Well I got the blood test back and Mrs. Thorne...you are positive for ITP.

I was silent. I couldn't process what I had just been told. "So...so now what?"

Well we want to bring you in tomorrow for an appointment to see how severe this is and to go over the treatment plans.

I was still in shock but knew I had to answer. "Ok. Thank you. What time do I come on?"

We have decided on 2pm. Does that work for you."

"Yes."

How did Daniel take the news that you possibly had ITP?

I was silent for a moment. Not wanting to tell Doctor Trike that I hadn't told Daniel yet. I sighed.

You haven't told him, have you?

"No. But you have to understand. He hasn't been home.

Mrs. Thorne you have to tell him. You can't hide the fact that you have a life altering disease. I suggest you call him immediately after you hang up with me and tell him. For a marriage to work you must be open with each other.

"Ok. I will."

You just promised. Well, practically. I expect by tomorrow he will know when you come in for an appointment.

I nod my head, though I know he doesn't see.

Do you have any questions?

I think for a moment. "Yes. Will the treatments harm the baby?"
